You are really funny mate, but it seems you have chosen not the right coin. BTC has done much better and made at least 3x science 2018. ETH must do something, because if price would not go up, people would start getting disappointed.

It seems that the choice was not so bad .. The price of Ethereum has fallen much more than the price of Bitcoin, which is why in my opinion it has much more growth potential and a much bigger increase in %. If OP has still not sold his ETH, I am sure that he will enjoy the profit soon..

The OPs choice is not bad. As low as the cryptocurrency market is at the moment, he still has his capital in eth more or less. One thing I picked from his investment is also the fact that he bought the Ethereum at very low rate. 2028 is still a far year from now but cryptocurrency has a bright future and so is Ethereum, so it's a win win for the OP

OP could be very successful, however only in case if Ethereum will not stop it's developing. There are a lot of new projects with good prospectives, and probably some of them could be more useful for crypto industry in future.
So I think author should watch on market all the time to not pass better opportunities.

with the advent of Uber and Lyft, the existence of private cars came in handy.  in a market like this, it is very difficult to produce Ethereum, but if he becomes an uber or Lyft driver he can collect monthly money to buy Ethereum or other coins...  My friend is a Grab driver (driver application in Southeast Asia) and he is setting aside $ 150 / month to invest in Bitcoin, Ethereum and Bitcoin Cash, at the moment his assets are more than mine.

So just gave a call to someone i knew he was interested since few weeks ago in my girlfriends car, and just sold it for 2000€..nearly 13 ETH at this prices..
maybe for others it is not a lot of money..but for us, it is..no more money left, and living with my parents! hahaha
yes i STILLL BELIEVE IN CRYPTO.. the best is still out there to come in the next 2 years i think..  so with a pair of.. I am  ALL IN

Many of you say i am crazy or stupid and i should be shaking right now... but you are very wrong.. in fact, I am absolutely not nervous or worried. if you read my later posts, you will find i invested my ETH on 4 altcoins, and the value in ETH (not in US$) didnt changed  much for these coins.  Anyway, i assume risks and consequences. ANd the big difference among us, is i am not a mercenary like many of you, that just followed the hype.. i am talking about them who are here for few fast bucks, .. i am different because i am for the longterm as i BELIEVE in blockchain.. and i didnt took this decision as if i was blind or stupid! I did my propper research long time ago, and strongly think crypto will be a standard in the future.. maybe not tomorrow, or next week, or month.. also not next year.. i am not in a hurry!  i think i got everything i need to live...it took most of my life to realize material things wont make me happier.. i dont need much anymore because i found i was already happy   .. I am not interested about lambos, mansions,... I am more interested in a more fair world for everyone. The big fishes (venture capital, banks...) have their profits being cutted, and this makes me really happy! Our life quality will improve in the longterm.. almost everything will be public, transparent and fair...

But your decision has now failed. The value of ETH has now decreased by a lot compared to the end of 2018. I believe that in the next few years, the market will remain the same price as more and more investors are leaving the market. because of the whale's intolerance. actually, if he really sold his girlfriend's car, and still holds ethereum to this day, I think he passed the train several times. as far as I know, ethereum prices on November 14, 2018 are around $ 160. if he had sold the asset at $ 240- $ 350, he had already made a small profit. however, if one of the other 4 coins is bitcoin, I think he has already made a very large profit. as we know that the price of bitcoin at the end of the year is around $ 3k - $ 4k. if he buys some bitcoin at the time, that is a good and brave choice.

As the OP said tha he is into Long term then I guest he did a good decision since the price whe he bought is around $95 and now see its price. Maybe their car is not useful enough for them, they might have some reason, I hope he's still holding their ETH now so they already gain profit now.

Good for you. I bet at $1400 a lot of people thought it was too late. But when price started to drop and around $400 I was even convinced that the project was actually headed in a direction I liked, I went it. So I guess I'm "crying" now according to most people but I think I'm happy where I am. Ethereum 2.0 on its way, loads of things to look forward to!

In my opinion, this is a very crazy and ridiculous idea because it is very risky if you sell a car just to buy more ETH, if you don't understand speculation about a good ETH selling price, I think this is a big problem because you will get a loss for this, but if you understand price speculation, this is the right way for you, compared to borrowing from a bank just to buy more ETH I think you are more than crazy and silly.

That's a big risk though. By selling the car, you already know that you can loose that amount of money when you put it and invest it in crypto. Make sure to put more effort in the trading, the amount of your money would not matter if you dont work hard to make it bigger. As of now, prices are not that high to gain enough profit.

The decision you take is really smart, though for some people it would be a reckless action.
Why I say smart ,the first reason the prospect of crypto is really promising especially for long-term investment.
The second reason car prices will continue to shrink if stored, while crypto is likely to increase in value.
The third reason if there is a loss, for example maybe the ETH coin goes down at least not too worried

I think you are too rash to make the decision to sell your girlfriend's car, just to invest and buy some eth in exchange if later the investment you  are successful and get a profit you and your girlfriend can have fun and enjoy it, but you must remember if there are two big risks that you have to face if you experience a loss in investing, besides you must be prepared to lose money and you also have to be ready to be decided by your girlfriend and find a new girls friend.

Although, this issue have been talk about long ago but the "good of you" you said draw my attention because there are better of doing things rather than selling ones girlfriend car out of greed because anyone who invest in crypto through loan, selling girlfriend car definitely won't invest the amount he can afford to lost.

But with Bitcoin, I can buy and hodl even when the price goes momentarily crashing I don't panic because I know it will certainly rise again. Bitcoin is a sure bet.

it is easy for BTC to return at the price of 15K USD, but ethereum will be quite difficult to return at the price of 1K USD, Ethereum tried several times to get up, but fell again. I hope there is a miracle for Ethereum to reach $ 1K USD this year or next year

He isn’t so affected buy selling the car because in the first place it’s not his, I bet his girlfriend is super mad at him but who knows maybe he will really recover it if not now then soon.  Altcoins are kinda doing it great and that includes ETH, ETH being considered the second to bitcoin so I guess it's quite a reasonable investment. Just a little advise, it's okay to take big risk but don't do it if you can't afford to lose it because at the end of the day if the price won't go to the direction you wanted then you still have something left for you.

Wow, i'm speechless now, it takes a lot of courage to do that, risking all you money and even selling your girlfriends car for ETH is just crazy. Yes it is true that ETH is doing great this year but we all know that the market changes so fast and it might just go down again. It is a very big risk mate, you can either get big returns or big losses, I just hope you are ready for the consequences. ETH is a good investment but I don't it is best now to invest in ETH with all your resources.
