It would have been a great study for everyone here if you write what happened to all your holdings now. The market has changed allot from November 2018 and it might have been a hard journey to keep holding in this market. Let us know what you are holding and their value in $ or euro now.
This is kinda funny, You got some big guts haha Its good taking risks but then with crypto? The coin can flip to any fu**ing side. You might make some big gains in the long-run and afford to buy your girl a lambo haha but it surely takes a whole lot of patience. I wish you the best buddy |

This thread was founded in November 2018. Ethereum price has made a big sine wave since then. OP could sell Ethereum with profit in May and June last year, but it did not. From what I understood from the words at the end of the first post, he intend to return to this investment after ten years, i.e. in November 2028. We will see what the situation will look like then. |

Some hours ago i posted this after realizing the big drop... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5069276.0So just gave a call to someone i knew he was interested since few weeks ago in my girlfriends car, and just sold it for 2000€..nearly 13 ETH at this prices.. maybe for others it is not a lot of money..but for us, it is..no more money left, and living with my parents! hahaha yes i STILLL BELIEVE IN CRYPTO.. the best is still out there to come in the next 2 years i think.. so with a pair of.. I am ALL IN  wish me good luck (please dont follow the same behaviour unless you are as mad as me and ready to loose it all)-------- update 9/dec Many of you say i am crazy or stupid and i should be shaking right now... but you are very wrong.. in fact, I am absolutely not nervous or worried. if you read my later posts, you will find i invested my ETH on 4 altcoins, and the value in ETH (not in US$) didnt changed much for these coins. Anyway, i assume risks and consequences. ANd the big difference among us, is i am not a mercenary like many of you, that just followed the hype.. i am talking about them who are here for few fast bucks, .. i am different because i am for the longterm as i BELIEVE in blockchain.. and i didnt took this decision as if i was blind or stupid! I did my propper research long time ago, and strongly think crypto will be a standard in the future.. maybe not tomorrow, or next week, or month.. also not next year.. i am not in a hurry! i think i got everything i need to live...it took most of my life to realize material things wont make me happier.. i dont need much anymore because i found i was already happy .. I am not interested about lambos, mansions,... I am more interested in a more fair world for everyone. The big fishes (venture capital, banks...) have their profits being cutted, and this makes me really happy! Our life quality will improve in the longterm.. almost everything will be public, transparent and fair... Mark this post and come back later in 10 years: 9 dec 2028! That was a huge risk you got there. Well, now it has been 2 years after the incident but I hope you are gaining benefits from what you did and you still have your girlfriend by your side. Ethereum actually is not in a good condition right now but sooner or later, I think it will regain its composure and have its high value back. It's not a bad thing to make a risk, bigger risks make bigger rewards, the best thing you can do right now and wait till you see if your decision is right. |

There may be a bear market in 2028, so if he can get $4,000 a coin instead of $1500 a coin, I think he would take it once he starts seeing the price dip. I hope it all works out for him and he sells during a high and doesn't get scared through some of the long dips in between. Hopefully he'll be able to get his girlfriend(wife by then) a nice, new car with the money. |

It seems to be a really big decision selling a car for the sake of buying ETH during a sale. I find it funny that even the OP have sold a car just to buy ETH, still it is not his car since it belong to his girlfriend. I still do wonder what could have happen right now after selling the car for the sake of obtaining cryptocurrency. It seems to be a desperate move done to purchase a crypto since it was a sale but the car was sold to be able to make that happen. I know that it is worthy to buy ETH due to its capacity and capability to grow and having an opportunity to purchase it at low price will be a moment to be grab. But sacrificing too much might really a bad idea because for me, I just exert purchasing any crypto into the extent I can only afford and not selling anything like a house or car to be able to deal with it. Buy only what you can afford and do not primarily do impulsive actions selling everything just to be able to buy a lot of crypto that you cannot afford to buy on hand.

Well, stick to your plan and see you later in 2028. Ethereum is way undervalued by now I guess considering it just broke a new ATH but I am pretty sure it will make some new ATH again, maybe later this late 4th quarter of 2021. Who knows? Maybe it could make even at $5k-$10k. You really did the greatest decision of your life I suppose.

On the next market downturn, I want to sell my apartment and buy bitcoins and ethereum. It remains to wait for the market to be at the bottom again. In fact, for me it is very scary. I thought OP did a wrong decision but that 13 ETH he is holding now is equivalent to 19500 usd already, and he is already in profit but according to the OP, he will hold until 2028 so I guess the value will even rise as there's still 7 years to come, and that 7 years, we might see a different market condition but there's no panic with OP since he is holding this long already.

Congratulations, after 2 years OP you did a good job. But are you really sure that you would be holding that until 2028? I think that you did well enough for investing that 13 ETH and selling your girlfriend's car. You're both in profit unless there's something that happened to your relationship.

So Op will not anymore loss his money, I guess cash out a bit to buy a new car would help. That's taking out the total investment and only investing the profit, that's what I usually do to eliminate the risk but we know OP is a big risk taker based on the decision he made in the past. |

l think also that he has made a great choice. l hope he will buy a new car, on the other hand, there will be a problem  . How much coins you purchased and are you still holding the coins and did you book any profit or are you still waiting for the rally to continue. I guess you have staked some of your coins because i guess you are having more than enough coins as you sold a car and that gives you more than enough coins to stake and then earn the profit and i would like to know your target before selling everything, |
