I don't believe it, there's no way someone has this much crypto just sitting on an standard PC wallet. I was paranoid to the max with a paper wallet with a handful of coins. Multiple hardware wallets and never entering the seed words on anything is the way you do it.
I think he choose a random address with a recent operation and is now claiming that it was his. If you control this address sign a message with it! If you sign it we'll at least know that you are telling the truth and you used to have almost 2 million dollars in BTC on that single address. This will make you a moron, but at least an honest one. If I had 2 million it would be divided into many wallets and addresses and kept offline.

How would you reward anyone if u lost all BTC? Fake Seems to me that you are the guy who would like to do dirty business with people who contact u Your assumptions are like accusations. Why will you say that about someone you do not even know? We should sympathize with him. He needs our love for that is a great loss he has incurred. Am sorry OP. But the truth is your coins are gone for good if that was hacked.

Why should we sympathize? For all that we know he could be lying about this. How can you be so rich and at the same time so careless with your money? How can you hold so many coins and have no knowledge about Bitcoin and transactions. He had millions of dollars in Bitcoin and didn't know that transactions are irreversible? It's all very suspicious.

How did it transpired? Was your wallet hacked? Or you send to a wrong address?

Very sorry for your loss. Can't imagine how hard it must be. Please try to keep it positive and don't hesitate to ask for help. Everybody would feel terrible in such a situation so don't feel bad about your feelings. Praying for you.

Just putting your crypto wallet address won't do. The hackers got your private key most likely which you should have provided back up before this kind of incident happened. Doubts on getting your wallet back is less likely now, you'll get your wallet but your funds might be a goner now.

While I'm not saying that OP really does own those coins, trust me. Don't underestimate the sheer carelessness of people. If I remember correctly, it was just a month ago whereas a dude with a million dollars worth of coins and tokens got his exchange account hacked. And it's not even in a well known exchange like Binance or Bitfinex, it was in a small exchange called COSS.

Just start over already... Nothing can be done
OMG, that's easy for you to say--if OP is actually telling the truth and lost that much crypto, I think it would be very hard to "just start over already". I'm hoping for his sake that he's just trolling or something, because that would be an incredible loss that--unless you're really wealthy--would be very hard to bounce back from. Don't underestimate the sheer carelessness of people.
I hear you there, bro. But man...how could you own that much crypto and not safeguard it better than he apparently did? If I owned that much, I'd have the private keys locked up in an underground bunker or something. I'm not even sure I'd be comfortable owning that amount of crypto at all, given how much hacking and theft goes on. Yowza.

That's an insane amount that's been hacked/stolen and it is surely not a small piece of cake to ignore, may be you should go to authorities that can handle this situation to track that/those burglar/s.

Last year even though I only had small fractions of a bitcoin I was so paranoid to immediately purchase a hardware wallet. Most people are just simply underestimating what hackers can do to attempt to steal their funds I guess.

Most people are just simply underestimating what hackers can do to attempt to steal their funds I guess. I'm lucky in that regard every time I get together a decent pile(still small). The market helps me out by reducing it's value up to about half sometimes. I did however pick up a cheap PC that I'm trying to setup for cold storage, just haven't had the coins to put there. I used to get really panicky when I first started last year, kinda embarrassingly so. Especially the first few times I made a big purchase rechecking addresses. Needless to say after about a week I stopped using out terrible family laptop, I figured my wife was bound to get all my accounts hacked lol Considering we haven't heard from OP, it was likely just a troll as previously stated. I did think it was somewhat legit as they had posted the topic when the coins had about 90 confirmations.

Stop playing perfect. I read above now of a high rank member who says he wants to get a PC for cold storage for some time now but has not got it. Will you call him stupid if anything happens to his coins before he get the PC to store his coins?

Your funds seems to end up on this address 16S5ixVGo3AuD4SvkgLHWfSbEz1rFFr36P (The BTC part)
#1. File a police report #2. Send e-mail to the biggest exchanges to blacklist that address together with your police report and ID that helps, they need to verify you #3. Keep an eye on 16S5ixVGo3AuD4SvkgLHWfSbEz1rFFr36P in case it moves, most probably to an exchange, if you have a full node on your local system add notifications in case the balance change moves. #4. try to remember any biteclicks or e-mails you have opened from unknown people. #5. Do a quick search on your computer if you have any keylogger och clipboard sniffer installed #6. change all your passwords #7. repeat number 3

This 100%. Do this if you haven't. This is theft and BTC isn't trivial to cash out. If they aren't a professional you're odds aren't all that bad to get something back.

OP should sign message with each address to prove that he really lost coins, otherwise many will think that this is only attempt to get some merit or maybe just to play on sympathy card - I lost all, send me some coins.
This is just a proof that some people are not really aware what they have and how to handle with that. At current price only losted BTC has a value of 1 575 000 $, and keeping that on PC you use for daily work is beyond any common sense.
For some people holidays will begin a little earlier this year, for others who read this - just one more warning, if you have some significant amount of coins use hardware wallet, paper wallet or any type of cold storage.

You can track transactions from your bitcoin wallet and find some information about hackers. Then you need to hire those who can take your money back from them. But, most likely, you cannot do anything.
