How would the crypto arena be different if everyone knew who Satoshi was?

Depending on country, it wouldn't have been much different. But i can imagine the worldwide harassment... Some things are better left untouched.
Indeed many altcoin developers are widely know, some even live of it. A bit unfortunate side effect is that there are several wannabes that claim are the true one, because they want the fame and profit that would come from it...

Aside from angry banksters or gov officials, I can imagine the political toll of assuming leadership. Its annoying enough for prominent open source leaders such as Linux's Linus Torvalds (the recent code of conduct), or Python creator Guido Von Rossum (stepping down due to internal power struggles), among many others.

I respect his/her/their choice of remaining anonymous.

It is hard to say if bitcoin would have remained exactly the same, hopefully we will never know. Bitcoin is doing great 10 years later...

It will be different because the feature of cryptocurrency might be bend for there are some of it that is not really good for the system like the anonymity where it could be abusively used from other users. As we all know that government does not support this kind of feature and will not accept this kind of system because of this feature. This could also be mean like a threat to national security where it could be use for illegal transaction.

Its a lot more different knowing the maker of the digital decentralized currency is not anonymous. The essense of this investment making investors unknown will be gone. If that so, i dont think crypto will be that decentralize anymore. Gladly it didnt and it way through what it would be today.

People won't much cared about this coin if we know who he was,since his anonymous also made the bitcoin much popular with the dencentralization.But no one is ever going to find who is satoshi even if he exposes himself it will be considered as one more fake face.

Not really sure for that cause we don't even experience on it.  The publicity and it's unquestionable identity won't bring bitcoin into like these but it is the community bring it to the top.  People find bitcoin as a valuable stored value of existence and it make sense for them. Hence,  this a acceptable market today and they'll find benefits by then.

people of course will think twice to make other people richer. They are jealous, this has become a natural thing, a conspiracy and people will think bitcoin is just another MLM form. so it will be later

So you want changes based on his opinion only? Think straight and just open up your mind. Bitcoin is decentralized. There is no central authority or a central person who dictates how it works. But, if Satoshi has revealed himself, people would have considered him the "leader" and might have supported whatever he has to say blindly. It would no longer be completely decentralized if people started to worship him.

This may have a negative impact on the decentralization of the currency, but on the other hand, it will increase the trust of many people to bitcoin. Now it's just a technology, but when the name of its developer is known, people will be more willing to invest in it, I think.

I don't think that everybody will be happy that one guy is holdind billard of dollars in bitcoin. He can control the price and market at all. It would be crazy. So it's good that we don't know about Satoshi

I think it will give a positive impact on bitcoin, when the creators is recognised it will increase the trust and maybe bitcoin can grow better, because people will know who to look for if they want to try to upgrade the technology and maybe there will be more company that could adopt bitcoin once they can ask the creator of bitcoin to get a more detail of the potential

Yes thats right, his identity would bind bitcoin to a certain country and bitcoin wouldn`t be the same. Definitely no is the answer from the question in headline, bitcoin would be completely different, not so many people across the world would accept it. Only like this bitcoin has a chance to be accepted everywhere, its something I like very much, its not about country or religion its about truth that we are equal and same in crypto, your personality defines you, not the place you are from or your religion.

IMHO I think it would be better for Satoshi to stay anonymous. Aside for its exoticism, being anonymous is also important as reminder to crypto loyalists upon what and why cryptocurrency was created. So, it wouldn't be merely about bussiness and money game.

Am guessing every one know the creator of altcoins well I don't see how this is helping there project to rise above bitcoin.
Satoshi was around long enough to give the guidelines and information about bitcoin. The foundation has already been properly laid
