How would the crypto arena be different if everyone knew who Satoshi was?

In my opinion, if everybody knew who Satoshi is, I think the bitcoin will either be centralized or not. Since we knew who Satoshi is then all the attention will be towards to him and I think it will have a conversation amongst government on maybe how is the world in digital currency move.

Bitcoin would still be decentralized, despite of Satoshi's identity. But catch is that, Bitcoin wouldn't be known as much as we know right now. Or most likely, A government would take credit for Bitcoin and/or took the rights to be ruled under the Law/regulations of a Country.
Good point, if he was identified any government that have a jurisdiction for him will take the credit, and same alike we will as nature to a human race,
the identity of such person would be the basis of his creations, if satoshi was been known then surely it will all base on how he live his life and how
successful he is, so it's still a right decisions being anonymous and become big controversial.

Wouldn't it depend on the nature of who Satoshi is? I mean... who says it's a single programmer? And even if they are, then still couldn't the actual identity of the person effect BTC in different ways based on public perception (not that anyone would believe him/her). What if it was a group of programmers? What if it was the CIA? What if it was artificial intelligence?

Just some ideas, these could potentially affect any impact of an unveiling.

Have a great day,
The Cyberius team.

I believe everything is going on as usual, but prolonged market adjustment processes make the whole dump make people think Satoshi has done this. You know that when you own too much Bitcoin, and you join in buying and selling, the market starts to fluctuate and you will be considered the reason for that.

With bitcoin itself, i don't think there'll be much of a difference. I mean we all know that vitalik bugarin owns ether and that knowledge doesn't have any effect on eth at all. Having satoshi's identity exposed could mean he could be targeted by a lot of hackers and privacy thieves. It's got more effect on him than on the coin itself.

I agree with many of the points about decentralization impact if we’re Satoshi known and active.  It’s interestinf to consider if Satoshi would have smashed some of the bitcoin forks that he may have seen as unnecessary. His opinion and leadership would be very impactful. We may have avoided BCH and all the subsequent Fork junk.

How would the crypto arena be different if everyone knew who Satoshi was?
It would have definitely been a lot different and that's because every bank and government would have a specific person to fight with. We see many threats coming from big companies, banks, personalities against bitcoin but in fact they don't have someone to blame so they are fighting against the whole bitcoin community which is a large one.

I think Satoshi Nakamoto just want to prove it's work .
Bitcoin gives anonymity to it's user and Satoshi proves it by keeping his/her/their identity hidden.
So if Satoshi was been found then it just proves that Bitcoin could not give anonymity to us .
And I think it would be a lot more different if Satoshi wasn't anonymous,
But we could never know it would always be a great "WHAT IF?".

There can be a difference if Satoshi would have introduced himself/herself to the public, both advantages and disadvantages. There can be divided opinions from people, they would be more engrossed and intrigued to know more of him/her personally and the Bitcoin technology itself. It could also put his/her life at risk at the same time knowing that he/she has been very influential despite his/her anonymity. On the other hand, we could have directly heard his/her opinion, he could supposedly give us all a piece of advise, and ask directly from him/her about related concerns Bitcoin is facing and how this technology could be more developed. However, he continues to hide his/her identity for a reason and that is something that we need to respect and understand. I still strongly believe that without him/her having to show up, he/she is still working behind to strengthen the network and help us all succeed in this field.

Anonymity of Satoshi did not bring Bitcoin where it is today. Bitcoin has the great benefit of being first crypto ever created and its huge popularity kept it on the first position.

ETH is a great coin, too, and its creator is not anonymous.

The pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto invented Bitcoin in response to the global financial crisis.
As a digital anonymous currency from one participant to another, the banks should be switched off.
As we all know, banks with their business practices still exist. Despite increasing awareness of Bitcoin. Whether this will stay that way in the future we do not know.
Whether things would change on these facts, Satoshi Nakamoto would not be anonymous, we can only guess.
I do not believe that.

I think if Satoshi wasn't anonymous bitcoin is not popular or worst bitcoin will not exist in a long period of time. Because one factor or impact of Satoshi is nationality. All we know that japanese are very progressive country who takes a lead in making technology, robotics and digital system. So people are going to trust him surely.

I dont think so, this will be totally different as social medai and mainstream will totally do the camera on him or her.
now that he or she is unknown they are on demand and development which i admire most on this! ilove the situation which Nakaomoto buildd!
I also wonder what changes in Bitcoin could be. But if the psychologies remained the same, we would continue the same.
But from side of satoshi, there would be no same result. Because, he is the BTC creater and has 1mln BTC, and do you think everything would be the same for him?

How would the crypto arena be different if everyone knew who Satoshi was?

none of the right answers. Why ?
because it doesn't really happen because this is just your own thinking. and in fact shatosi remains a mystery to this day, even though there are some who claim it.
so, I can't answer for sure because this is what makes bitcoin phenomenal and has a high price besides its functions and benefits.

I think yes, this is quite possible. There might a bigger chance that Satoshi could put himself into danger as bitcoin involves the use of money. Given the fact that bitcoin itself is convertible to money or the digital form of money, too many would want him to probably hack his own creation. This only my point of view but who knows things like these could happen?

Exactly my thoughts, if we knew who was the real person that was behind the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto that will not really make a difference at all to us or to the market but it will make a huge difference in the life of Satoshi, to begin with there will be a lot of people that will be interested in trying to get his coins and that will be a real problem for him.

But the real problem will be the governments and banks that will probably try to put him in jail or to try to convince the community to accept backdoors into the cryptography of bitcoin so the governments can do whatever they want with it, satoshi knew that this could happen which is why he choose to hide his identity from the beginning and to never reveal himself to the world.

It may be a little different but the fame of bitcoin now is not about the SATOSHI NAKAMOTO being unknown.
People see the capability and its future with bitcoin. the demands from the people and the coin that give the opportunity to human is getting more interesting. This might lead the world for better that is why.

No this is not gonna happen because crypto currency is based on the identity of satoshi, he invented bitcoin but no one till now got the opportunity to know who is he and where is he, as no one till now even claimed to be his friend or his relatives so I think his mysterious identity made bitcoin more valuable all over the world.

I don't think that there would have been no different if  Satoshi had added his or her identity to the whitepaper of Bitcoin, but I believe Satoshi  wanted the world to accept the ideology behind the development and purpose of Blockchain and Bitcoin not the individual behind the creation. Also Satoshi being anonymous was the basic principle to confirm how users can be anonymous using this product.

Satoshie wanted to divert all attention away from him, to allow bitcoin thrive on its own,he also removed the risk of failure that could arise from having an arrow head or founder(a possible point of failure), maybe bitcoin would not have been this nice if his identity were known. There would have been focus on him rather than a system being managed by all

If Satoshi wasn't anonymous some country could have taken him under control and could have made bitcoin centralized. When this goes centralized surely bitcoin might have not acquired the present market. Satoshi being anonymous makes the network grow independently in a decentralized manner.
