Yes definitely, because the idea of being anonymous or decentralization is the best thing in bitcoin and if the creator of it is not anonymous for sure there will be a big difference. If satoshi revealed himself there will still a be a lot of debate and predictions what can happen in bitcoin after that.

It would give them grounds to attack Satoshi as a person and every action done by him would influence the price.
Say, you knew who he was and had limitless resources (like a government). You could set him up and make a pedophile or a drug addict out of him. You could make him fall in love with an agent who would report on his activities, or gather dirt. With enough of this dirt you could pass it on to the media and crash the markets. It's better for him to stay anonymous.

I agree that he should remain anonymous, we all know that any creation and invention the creator or inventor are treated like a celebrity and looked up, so any action of Satoshi will only harm the price of Bitcoin and he will be attacked continuously by banks and government.

I think Satoshi will remain anonymous, because since now on one don't know about Satoshi, and i aware you, it is just a character name, behind it government is working and China government created it.
But i think now 10 years has spend and now people have more interest on bitcoin than Satoshi.

To know about the innovator will always be high than the innovation at times. This is what taking place at the moment. In my opinion if Satoshi wasn't anonymous it would have been similar to the Rothschild Family. Consecutively everyone from the family will be the top people of the network and they tend to manipulate whenever necessary.

How would the crypto arena be different if everyone knew who Satoshi was?

It would be very alarming for Satoshi himself. People would ask a lot of uneccessary questions. Cryptocurrency might not be the same because we will see someone that is controlling or even though he is not controlling Bitcoin, people might still feel being controlled because they know who made it. Being anonymous was a great decision made by Satoshi.

How would the crypto arena be different if everyone knew who Satoshi was?

If Satoshi was a chirsitan, some jews and muslims would not use bitcoin
If Satoshi was black, some whites would not use bitcoin
If Satoshi was a jew, some muslims and christians would not use bitcoin
If Satoshi was gay, some straight men would not use bitcoin

So it is good that satoshi`s id is not revealed.

It has it`s up`s and down`s though

Satoshi in one post could start a revolution for the betterment of all of humanity, I don`t think we need to know who satoshi is, but their message is important. They could come back and still remain anon and lead the project into further development.

If I was satoshi I would not remain a idle idol. His or Her influence can actually save our species. There is some fundamental flaws with bitcoin becoming the medium of exchange. One of them is distribution thanks to asics. One of them is all these false crypto god`s like CSW and Roger Ver, that taint bitcoin into darker places.

I really hope this person comes back and leads bitcoin to greener pastures and us the people, team human is what matters.
Some how adding sidechains/addresses that disperse coins via duration at the same rate is how we beat fiat.

I like the analogy presented here. In some ways, if the personality of real Satoshi is known, there will be group of individuals that will discriminate him as a person. So yes, it is much better that he is an anonymous person so bitcoin has always a mysterious past.  Grin This actually make bitcoin more interesting and people will always gonna try to uncover his identity.

Maybe we can move forward and move fast in adoption because additional information will be available because the creator is within our reach, he can address many issues about the future of Bitcoin and he can do speaking engagements in many places where Bitcoin needs support for adoption.

What you are telling true but you missed the main concept of bitcoin used as currency and it dont need any projects. if the creator was knowed then i think it wont have got so much success as every one will be afraid of him selling his bitcoin and also chances of manipulating the market. So satoshi being anonymous is the main reason of the bitcoin success.

I really think everything would be a different scenario and Satoshi Nakamoto anticipated it.
That is why he intentionally set himself as anonymous and still not coming out.
He is actually showing in his life what  Bitcoin really is and supposed to be.

I’m afraid that the essence of anonymity (though transactions are no really that anonymous) will be gone and it won’t be attractive anymore from people who wants privacy like me

So what’s the difference of investing in stocks(in which being here for a long time)compared to Cryptocurrency that’s only exist 10 or more years ago

I totally agree with you, you know we humans has a way of looking down on  people, we have some people that might not want to take the bitcoin because of racism, because of pride and some because they will look at Satoshi and probably judge him from the head to the toe and be looking at him like someone who is a scammer and wants to dupe people if they look at that 980 000 bitcoin that he has.

Just imagine when Craig wright came out to claim to be satoshi, people don’t even want to believe or accept him first because they feel like Craig is a fraudulent person and they don't want to trust him.  Another way you should picture is what satoshi was a prisoner, do you know how many people will think that they are using criminal coin to operate, so it is better he remains anonymous.

I don't think bitcoin will be the same if sotoshi is not anonymous. Its is important to promote bitcoin with sotishi's popularity. This will help bitcoin promotion and to be known to all over the world. So that it will go back to the promising price we hope for. That bitcoin will grow soon and rule over the world.

The biggest issue is the idea of the bitcoin network not the founder's identity... Look at other altcoins like Ethereum and Litecoin, their founders are known but the projects have still been successful. Probably Satoshi just choose to be anonymous to avoid any form of backslashes from Authorities

I agree with you. It's not about the founders identity but it's the potential of cryptocurremcy. Just like what you said the owner of of other altcoins are very popular still their project was successful but they can't still beat bitcoin even the founder is anonymous. One reason why people keep on investing with bitcoin that is because of its potential.

I think, Bitcoin will be more popular if Satoshi wasn't anonymous because if they know who you are the more people will trust your project. The most important is, Bitcoin now is very popular this will us to get some profits.
There were projects before that has known developer like David Chaum whom developed Digicash and Ecash. But until now, many doesn't recognize the guy and his contributions. Still to the industry folks, his works were being appreciated. And another example is the Libra of facebook but right now it's being stopped by many entities.

So, I still think that the same effect would come even we know satoshi or not.

How would the crypto arena be different if everyone knew who Satoshi was?

There's advantages and disadvantages if he's around

Advantages
We can ask him questions that we want answers from his creation
He can go around and promote his creation to countries and companies that want to adopt his creation
We love to get answers straight from the horse's mouth with him around we will not be misled because we have the right information

Disadvantages
He will have to give a good reason if he wants to dump his shares
He needs good security and good lawyers too because his creation is against government policy
He cannot go around anymore all his actions will be publicized
People may ask him to create another coin that may compete with his own creation

The possibility is endless with him around I just listed some.
