As I wanted to cash out my BTG I bought in summer and mined. They say I cannot, because I did not cash out until November 5. It is lost they say. But in my account there it shows the recent BTG mining deposit.

Avoid this criminal exchange!

Are there any authorities or Police to contact? I cannot even find a adress. Thank you

Each time they decide to delist a coin, they make an announcement and this time was no different: https://bittrex.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001391586-Wallet-Removal-on-November-5-2018

Contacting the police won't do anything because they haven't done anything wrong. Take this as a lesson and never use exchanges to store your funds again.

There was no Email. They lie. They say that but it is a lie.

There was never a announcement when I logged into my account. I don't expect from a honest exchange to oblige me to monitor some hidden announcement sites. Really you mean this is correct?

And you say it is normal. So you tell me in other words: No serious investor would invest here anything.

They are official criminals vs their customers. Nothing else.

I doubt they didn't warn people about this. You are the first user I see complaining about this.

There is nothing even on Reddit.

As much as I would love to trash Bittrex, they did nothing wrong in this case as stated above. Pretty much every news outlet covered the whole situation around the theft, and the fact that Bittrex was going to delist that coin. Even BTG openly said that Bittrex would delist their coin.

Read through this thread, it includes a screenshot of Bittrex stating BTG will be delisted; https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4995050.0

Take this as a lesson and never use exchanges to store your funds again.
And if you do anyway, which applies to plenty of people, because they don't seem to care, don't disappear without regularly checking back what's going on.

LOL

Attacking people won't help you with anything. Actually, I don't think there is anyone here that can help you. Bittrex made a warning about the delisting and I doubt they will do anything for you.

And I will only hold coins that are NOT listed in your fraud exchange. It seems like a no brainer. Avoid Bittrex scam!

BTG, GBX.. and others.

RVN -> bittrex listed. -> Pump and dump.

I find it weird though that Bittrex doesn't allow funds to be recovered after their stated withdrawal time frame. It's clear that not everyone will be able to withdraw their funds on time.

There should be a policy in place that makes sure users who didn't manage to withdraw their funds will still be able to get them. They state assets become unrecoverable, but how exactly? Do they burn them or what?

It's way more likely that the unclaimed funds become property of Bittrex and they end up selling them elsewhere, could be to recover some of the funds they lost during the attack they suffered from.

OP, can you send them an email explaining your situation without threatening to report them or follow up with legal action? Not much to lose anyway.

I see nothing weird about it. The announcement first came in 1st September I believe (you can find articles from Cointelegraph and bitcoingold's official website as well) about delisting so It was obvious that everything will be removed afterward. It's a procedure that every exchange does.

Also, by that logic, an exchange should keep running servers/nodes and customer's data regarding BTG for ever? otherwise how else they could give users the BTG? I think making the announcement on the 1st of September, delisting on the 14th and totally removing the withdrawals in 5th November make perfect sense and is fair. We've said this a billion time, an exchange is not supposed to hold your funds for long term, It's for trading and nothing else.

As for the funds, It's clearly not burned, it becomes their priority and yes, they probably hold it or sell it elsewhere.

@OP, I don't like Bittrex since their KYC move where they forced everyone to do it and I'm no longer using them, but just because I don't like them doesn't mean I will be against them even when they're right. Sorry to say, but it was clearly your fault.

I used to use Bittrex and never faced such problem, they always send a notification email before delisting any coin.

This is another reason why not to keep coins long term on an exchange. I have often gone days even weeks without checking the internet and forums and just kept my currency stored.

Thus only store on an exchange what you need to exchange.

maybe I can add so that you keep it in the wallet not in the market, to avoid things that you don't want in your case

Looking above on his reaction or behavior i dont really expect for him not to make any threats. Coins would never be recoverable and once they state on such delisting
and you didnt able to withdraw on the said date then its understandable that they do already own those coins. They made such announcement and warning but users do fail to act.

Its always been important to check out on where our coins being stored specially on exchange.Reading recent delisting updates or any other
related info is a must to avoid these kind of circumstances.

I'm not saying they should hold the funds for ever, but it would be a good option to have Bittrex keep them for 6 more months, just in case late users come back and try to claim their coins.

It's common sense, really. An exchange more than anyone else knows that a large part of the users use their platform as wallet for storage purposes. It's not how it should be, but people do it anyway, they are stupid.

People can try to justify it all day long, but it's a form of legal theft and it stays that. They simply use people's stupidity against them and think it's all good. It's not all good.

BSV is not the real Bcash. Bcash is the real Bcash.
