"for the time being" - for now, but probably not forever

Saying that you don't trust someone because of their behavior is completely valid.

It's usually stated "for the time being," and means until the indefinite future.

Yeah, typical phrase is: It's okay for the time being. Meaning is "It's okay for now but maybe be better later"
