Let's put it this way.. An investor will invest on something.. Therefore it will expect a profit later on.. Business and investments as usual. And pointing on putting money on ICO's, it can also applied.

But compare to the usual "investments", putting money on ICO is way more risky. Even how hype and good the project is, they are not safe from the happenings on the market. But even how risky it is, there are really people who really wants to invest on here because of the main reason, which is obviously to gained big profits later on once it established a good market price.

How companies protect their investors? Literally not part on the agreement at most of the cases. Companies must continue to work day by day to show that they are seriously pushing the project on the top. They must maintained the trust of their investors at any cost. In case of a crash, yes a buyback is a must but that will not solved the issue depends on the market trend. So for this, they just have to remained focus on their goals and people must see that.

I think there are more stuff to ICO's and investing in them aside from making money. Of course money is a big motive for everyone and I agree that even the people who make the ICO needs money to take their idea further however supporting a new coin could have other reasons then just money. If you see a new token or a coin that has a great usage and amazing features sometimes you just want to support them, what better way to support a new coin if not giving them money.

That way you are telling them you are willing to give money now and have their coin because you believe it will be worth more later. That shows people who are making the new coin there are people who like their idea. I for one supported one coin like that and currently invested in one another not because I was aiming at making money with it but because I liked the idea.

There is a slight advantage when a customer or investors will invest in an ICO because when the project is offering the coin for sale , the ICO  will give many discounts for investor who will ge early to invest in that certain ICO project , so the advantages in investing ICO is lower price tokens than in the market sells.

The developers of a coin should not concentrate themselves from trying to protect the price of their coins, this is a free market and the free market needs to decide what it is the price of something, if you as an investor needs protection from someone in order to protect you from your own decisions then you do not really have what it's necessary to be a good investor and you should stop doing it.

yes you are right, but nowadays very few projects have a successful team. many projects fail and make investors disappointed because they have been deceived. ico really benefits us, because we can get money from here. it's not easy now to choose a good and promising ico, so in my opinion it all depends on our luck.

I do not prefer to invest in ICO specially today that the market never recover. Most of ICO are experiencing financial crisis and most of them turned into scam or extending their token sale. A lot of ICO that I participated but all of them are failed. Even it is profitable in investing in ICO, it is too long to be waited.

I agree with you.Once the ICO had successfully end up reaching the highest market cap,you as an investor will also benefit the most.You can earn a very huge profit in an instant.So once you choose to be an investor,make sure you know the ICO well and the potentials of the the team behind it.

An investor benefitting from an ICO does not have anything to do with them reaching the highest market cap, it is all about just generating more funds for the team to be able to work and develop the product if they already have one and be able to launch it into the world for real life usage, most especially when it comes to marketing as well, so in this case, you are more like having a share in the product or company.

Moreover it sounded so simple that way, but in reality most of these teams always end up backing out from the project and render it useless without any form of development, which is one of the reasons as an investor when investing in the ICO space, you really have to always be careful.

I think, What makes investing in ICOs advantageous is that you could get an early advantage in lets say that coin which you invested went mooning, you got the chance to buy more coins than when it has already set a high value, But the thing is, you could just support and trust the team that their work would be a job well done. In my opinion this is the main advantage and the only advantage that you can get in joining an ICO.

right, at the moment many ico are experiencing dumps, after listing in the market, and the price is far from the price of ico, of course this makes investors wait longer to get profit

This year I can see that investing in ICO is not profitable if you want a profit in an earliest time, much better to buy tokens in an exchange after ICO because almost all ICOs today crashed and lost almost 90% of its ICO price one best example is the ICO from the ico Im supporting lately ico price is $1.4 and after hitting the exchange price is $0.02 at hitbtc.

The only advantage that we can get in investing in ANY ICO is the early birds promotion.

Today is a time that any investment in ICO brings absolutely no profit and it is obvious. The peak of demand for the initial supply of coins took place in the spring of this, but people are trying hard to buy tokens for ICO. The market showed that today it is much more profitable to buy tokens on the market 10-20 times cheaper and not wait for six months of distribution and an incomprehensible scenario.
Projects in stagnation, all watered with blood and the team simply can not cope with it and pull a single project out of the pit. The whole market is tied to bitcoin and this is the main problem! If the market changes and projects will not depend on the price of bitcoin, they are likely to take off alone, and now all we see is a General bearish trend!

Many icos do not even have the goal of creating a successful project, they only care about the money they can make with the investors and by selling their coins when and if the market skyrockets, that is why people are not investing in icos anymore since the advantages that they give are minimal compared to the incredible risk of losing everything you had invested.

In my opinion. the main advantage is the price of coins is still cheap because it has not entered the trading market. we can get additional bonus coins when buying coins that have not been released to the trading market. aka but we have to be able and be careful in investing in ico because there are so many ico that fail so that it will harm us. the price of ico is very cheap and it is very tempting for us to buy it, but ico could have fallen when it entered the trading market.

I think the advantages of investing in ICO is the same as when you’re buying coins in the crypto market. You get to invest in a project early and participate in it to be able to benefit from it as time goes on. I don’t really see much advantages apart from benefiting from it later as an early participant, when the price starts to increase. And don’t forget that it isn’t all ICO that makes success, so when choosing, choose carefully.
