Hi All,
I was thinking of starting a career in blockchain projects either as a core developer or a DAPP developer.
But looking at the recent slump and disappearing ICO market, I am having doubts.
Please advise me. Thanks so much.

Blockchain developers are one of the hottest things searched for in the employment right now and that won't change. Firstly, understand that crypto and blockchain are two separate things, many companies are adopting blockchain tech without cryptocurrencies. But even on the crypto side there will eventually be a reversal in the markets fortunes, presenting great opportunity for those with the required expertise.

Some of the newbies are confuse about cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology. I am also confuse with that when I was new in this community. Like what you said, companies adapt the use of blockchain technology due to its usage. We can store our files, transaction and etc. using blockchain technology. Hence, it is needed by the companies today.

if you want to make a good project there are no problems, the most important thing is that you don't cheat people, if a good project will sell well

The market for ICO's may be in a very poor state but that does not mean that there is any drop in the need for developers. There are lots of companies looking for talent and that won't change anytime soon no matter what happens to the ICO market. If you have the skills to become a developer I would recommend seizing the opportunity. Blockchains are here to stay and are only going to get bigger.

I think your idea is solid there is definitely a strong demand for developers across the sector and that demand is only going to increase. Blockchain technology is still in its infancy and it is likely to find a place in regular businesses as well as the crypto startups.

Not sure I get it but are you planning to start a project of your own and get funding thru an ICO?
Nothing wrong with that but it might be better if you start working for an existing project already to gain more experience befor having your own.

Blockchain tech is on is own,a dip in crypto cannot totally affect blockchain tech.Blockchain tech can be useful outside crypto.It is hot in demand now.A good path if you ask me.

It is indeed true right now there is a slump in the market price wise but there arE more and more jobs opening in this sector so you may do very well as a skilled person in this niche. Crypto is always up and down and this is cyclical. viewed from the present, crypto still has a long way to go and a thriving condition. ICO and crypto indeed in bad condition this time, but this does not illustrate that it would also be bad for some time in the future. but being a developer for blockchain instead of the easy thing because it's a pretty risky position.

I wish I could do a crypto career but it seems only engineering people or computer IT people with masters get the good jobs with high salaries. Apparently in the US, blockchain developers now get paid higher than AI experts,,, but of course with bear market you can see that salaries are being reduced everywhere, even for management positions.

Marketing and communications,,, also popular with crypto but they do not get paid more than in other sectors. And now probably even lower pay with this bearish conditions.
