Well, most of the gamblers that I knew is not depressed nor lonely but they are really greedy. A lot of them keeps on gambling every single day and it makes me wonder how can they handle that kind of addiction themselves. I can't afford that addiction based on my experience in the past. I'd rather be addicted to online games and other things rather than in gambling. Even though I am addicted to that, I can still earn money like joining the esports or something.

I agree when a person is deciding to make easy money for his all problems, most of the time he's choosing gambling. Due to the easy availability of gambling and most of the gambling houses are allowing to try with them for free of cost, most gamblers are getting into their first gambling.

There are also no enough awareness on the dangers of gambling like only in our dreams, we can make money from gambling. I've noticed that too. Although there are some cases when rich people lose their mind and start gambling until there's nothing left on their accounts, those cases are rare compared to occurrences of gambling addiction among the poor. I think that is so because poor people are generally less educated and that's why they tend to make wrong decisions, particularly regarding their finance management. It should go without saying that you never gamble with the money you need for living, and yet some people fail to comprehend that.

I agree. Greediness and lack of contentment in an individual's mind makes it a way for addiction. You really prefer to be an addict to online games?  I thought that was a worse form of addiction except  gamers are getting paid for playing.
