There is no doubt in that I will bitcoin when comparing any other cryptos just because of the bitcoin is more recognized and it is surviving a decade now but most of the other cryptos not even completing few years so the longitivity is the reason why I picked bitcoin but IOTA is also a good coins which can be bought when you are looking for a coin to make profits in short or long term.

I don't see the sense of the question even we put the situation into of picking only one between BTC and IOTA.

Obviously we will choose a coin* that is already tested thru ups and downs and "worth to take a risk" even it will take time.

But for a regular crypto trader or should I say, even those who just want to do trades on not on regular basis, they will choose a coin that they can take advantage. Even shitcoins are included to that*. Technology of the coin are disregard here because the goal is to take advantage of the volume.

And the obvious answer for anyone will always be bitcoin. I cannot remember who said this in one of the financial experts. He said if you are to be holding anything right now, it should be bitcoin and at least, you should make sure you are holding at least 1 bitcoin before you can decide to start getting into any shit coin of your choice.

I see most altcoins as just distractions and that is as a result of people thinking there is no more hope for them in bitcoin and they are looking for the best chance of getting rich quick with some altcoins, I basically would love to see how that ends up for them. As far as I am concerned, it is bitcoin all the way!

Who needs an altcoin when there is Bitcoin? Bitcoin has been here for a decade and is continued to develop by several developers around the world. So, my first choice would be Bitcoin if i have to buy for $10k today.

Most altcoins today are not even worth it and they are basically just there for the short term price fluctuations which is why you see them always going back to their historical prices pretty fast than you can imagine as people tend to dump it for bitcoin eventually just to increase their stash.

So in a way, for anyone who can basically manage themselves in the trend of the market, there is no harm at all with that, but you still have to realize at the same time that at the end, bitcoin will always have the dominance whether we like it or not. So if I have such money and I am to pick just one coin, it is always going to be bitcoin.

I will invest all of the whole money in Bitcoin. The market is  really good for buying to hold and resell when the price becomes good. The bitcoin price has reached its all time low for the year 2017 and 2018. Which means the support level of $3700 was created and the price has reversed to move in the opposite direction which means any investment in bitcoin now will yield profit within the next 30 days.

If amount is big then never should be invested in a single coin. Always should have diversification so that you are not holding the coin which is dropping but having multiple would give you the best of the profits or results and make your money grow as well. If your investment amount is very less then it can be thought of investing in single coin.

I will definitely go for bitcoin over and over again but I dont choose bitcoin because of it popularity or because it the first cryptocurrency. I choose bitcoin because of it potentials and most of the altcoin out there cant stand the powerful people in world which bitcoin have fought and overcome. I am also doing it this way as it will ensure my investment is the best. All altcoins depend on the value of Bitcoin, which makes Bitcoin investment more important for long-term investment. If you want to be safe, it's best to just select good and high potential projects

I will definitely choose IOTA over Bitcoin because most altcoins following the bull run started by Bitcoin in most cases right? If you do the math, IOTA will give you higher return and no one knows what will happen in the future specially if a big partnership to well known company will be made in side of IOTA. Seeing by the value and popularity, I prefer to choose bitcoin, besides large communities and fluctuations are also rather small, bitcoin is the right choice in my opinion, and is worthy of 10,000USD for the long term. Slightly I am not going to contradict with what you are saying. Yes, buying right now is not that much dangerous for the health of anyone's portfolio. Most probably this is the right time to buy more bitcoins. Please note I am saying only bitcoin and not recommending any other coin for investing right now. Even my recommendation may go wrong. But, if the investor is ready to wait for the some months then definitely he will get big profits. Hence, the key is how long an investor will be ready for waiting and there will be no dilemma about choosing a coin because it is always bitcoin as the right choice.

OP kind of people are not ready to their own research and that is the only reason they are coming out for this type of discussion here. I'm not saying this type of discussion is not good but we cannot expect these people to do their own research like market conditions and analyzing the future of the coin. Hence, suggesting them bitcoin will definitely save lots of hassles for them.
