Jan 2013 : BTC Dominance 94,5 %
Jan 2014 : BTC Dominance 89 %
Jan 2015 : BTC Dominance 80 %
Jan 2016 : BTC Dominance 87 %
Jan 2017 : BTC Dominance 85 %
Jan 2018 : BTC Dominance 35 %
Jan 2019 : BTC Dominance 52,5 %

So this is the real history of King. As you see king lost half of the country.
As you see the fall between 2017 - 2018 that is the reason of the bullish run.
So that means in case of a buliish run between 2019-2020 we can see a drop of dominance in BTC below 25% means RIP for BTC

The king didn't lose anything

It is just the universe has been expanding. If you don't understand that, well, you know, there are only two things which are infinite, and one of them I already mentioned. So far the whole market is following Bitcoin's price, not the other way around. And did you not notice that in January 2019 Bitcoin's dominance grew almost 50%? As they say, pain reveals who you really are, and it is in a bear market when real strengths and weaknesses are revealed

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

For the whole 1 decade Bitcoin remain on top on digital currencies, despite of having a lot of criticism and FUD in it.
Bitcoin doesn't affect by this rumors and hearsay. Instead, a lot of investors believed in the potentiality of Bitcoin in terms of this
business.

Most of the major cryptocurrencies have tried so hard to beat the price of bitcoin but this has turned futile as bitcoin continues to reign. The Ethereum and Ripple holders have tried their very best but still BTC rules forever. Well i guess even though bitcoin may have so many faults and lapses the entire crypto community still supports it.

Youre quite right because the governments also tried their best to stop bitcoin but it turned futile and I believed that most people who tried to dethrone bitcoin seems to forget or ignore the real concept behind the creation of bitcoin right from the go cause the concept was still the same thing which make bitcoin thrive over and over again.

Yes. Bitcoin is currently the strongest cryptocurrency. In addition, this is the oldest cryptocurrency. Bitcoin is the most popular and most users use Bitcoin. Therefore, I agree that in the near future no one can beat Bitcoin by capitalization.

Right. There's no other coin known to us that has survived for 10 years except bitcoin. And even at the present while its market is currently low,its popularity is still there.Although there may be some investors who leave bitcoin today, but on the other hand there are also newcomers who have just known bitcoin and definitely start investing in it.I know bitcoin will gain even more popularity in the coming years and hopefully it will come to the point of its mass adoption in the future.

Bitcoin will remain at first place forever. Besides, its the only known cryptocurrency for newbies because its a very popular coin. Even though it suffers from a very low value last year, it doesnt become a hindrance for it to become the number one cryptocurrency for 2018.
for me BTC is not invincible because the world chooses BTC and I think BTC will become a world asset so that the whole world chooses the top one, bitcoin

Yes, because I think to make a big power takes a very long time, we see Bitcoin born in 2009, and now I think the price of Bitcoin is just beginning, there will be a very high surge, so those new cryptocurrency will not be able beat the dominance of Bitcoin.

That's the advantage being the original and the first one inside this industry, many newbies only recognized bitcoin as a whole inside cryptocurrencies, the effect will surely favor bitcoin as they will invest money into it, going deeper they will realize that there's a lots of alternative crypto's but since they've more about bitcoin they will stay and support the strongest chain.

In the real sense, bitcoin will keep his position and be more stronger while the market is expanding, there's no way that this King will be overtaken by
any alts not unless the big whales club will desire to push another project and brings lots of money beside it.

Cryptocurrency is a maturing market and it is here to stay. Believe in Crypto. Belive in its tech.

thats because the cryptocurrency indexation system has been created by the bitcoin founders and they dont accept competitors.

bitcoin is being "defined" as King, by them, and that means ultimately nothing. only as long as people are accepting "their" index bitcoin will stay king. and in my oppinion this might change

Of course bitcoin is still the main one. for the next few years bitcoin will still remain king. there are no coins that can compete with bitcoin. that's the fact
people believe in bitcoin because bitcoin was first known and has more than half of cryptocurrency users.

bitcoin is still number 1, although there are many interesting altcoins such as ETh and ripple, but for my country at this time, players prefer investing in altcoins even ICO who seem to be a lot of fraud they are still interested, but still btc becomes a reference as well dollar in fiat currency, even though the price falls people still use it as a standard of all currencies

Agree with this. Even how down the crypto market for Bitcoin is, there are still people who never get tired of Bitcoin which this includes me in. I am very much glad that this crypto currency where I very much into it remains its title as the King of all the crypto currencies.

It is still the king of coins, and this is definitely no one to shift it. Bitcoin is inherent and has strong trust from investors so that bitcoin has a high value. The first coin award is present even though many people want to overthrow it but still stand firm. Every market moves bitcoin into an influence on other coins.

What I like about the graphic is that two other alts in the last 5 years have
been in the top 10, Litecoin and Ripple.

At the moment Bitcoin is still the reserve currency for all cryptocurrencies and therefore the king.
The only question is whether this will remain so in the next few years?

The technical development continues. There are already some tokens that are faster to transfer and that at lower transaction costs. (Fees).

Therefore, it is quite possible that one day the Bitcoin will be replaced by a digital currency other than the number one.

However, I believe that the BTC will not disappear, it will then be only a marginal phenomenon.

I think bitcoin will remain on the top for more years because of its price and its wide gap in market capitalization to the other cryptocurrencies. There are many altcoins that are far more better in technological features than bitcoin but they still have to show the way how to overtake bitcoin in a few years time. Almost whole crypto market still shivers when bitcoin is declining and go up when the top coin is in uptrend so there still no altcoin that can counter the influence of bitcoin.

Number two has changed every 2 years. And I think it will be changed end of this one. Ripple take second again. But I guess, No coin take first place never!
We saw Top 2 and lower spot keep changing year by yesr but the top spot was dominated strongly by bitcoin. And maybe we will see same ttend overtime. Strong contender to take the first spot base on market cap maybe xrp because of its huge supply.

There is hope, and the future is really good for cryptocurrency especially with bitcoin. Its good to see some strong altcoins for the past years that is still on the top position until now, this mean that they are meant to stay. Well, bitcoin will always be placed on top, no matter what the situation is it will still lead the market.
