When there is a massive sell off like it's happening and there are fewer buy,  one must approach the market carefully.  If your funds is not meant for long term,  you can abstain from buying because,  the opportunity  to short may be less frequent and you may loss money in the short term!

That statement only for people who have patience in the long run and wise when market is very tricky. When the time during bull run, some still don't want to sell at a very huge pump expecting to raise more price. Now ending up cannot sell now due to dump price. Holding is also good but if your greed is too much then t wouldn't help at all. Learn to be contented.

this suggestion can work for a normal market that is void of manipulation but in the altcoin market which is 99% pump and dump it can NOT work because what you see in the market as "blood" is not some drops of blood. it is instead a sea of blood that can swallow you whole if you start buying in at a bad time. you can even become bankrupt in an instant.
