[Gauging Interest] Small Wood Carving Stuff

Hi everyone, few months ago I gave my dad some carving tools set because I know he used to do it back when I was a child. Now that he has some free time, he started doing it again for fun and maybe for some Bitcoins. His style is kinda random, he doesn't sketch first, and mostly just go with what's on his mind. He does it mostly on Teak wood for the best result and durability. The example above is my dad work from maybe 15 years ago. I say small because they're no more that 30 centimeters in height/width.

As a guy who admires and dabbles into woodcarvings, I can say just by looking at it that they're a labour of love. I noticed something, these carvings are not symmetric, is it because they're done without sketches and pre-plans like you said or are those intentional artistic choices?

Overall they look like authentic tribe sculptures from Africa and south-east asia. At first glance, I thought they were inspired from the face paintings of the Jarawa people. But it isn't so, if you don't mind asking your dad the source of these designs, that'd be great.

This. However, there are some of his work that quite symmetrical, too bad I still haven't got the time to visit him so I can't take more pictures

He said he got influenced by Borneo and Papua carvings, though I can see some Javanese in some of his works. Thanks for asking by the way, and sorry for the super late reply
