There is only one thing for us to know when it come to investment in cryptocurrency, invest what you can afford to lose as profits are not guarantee at all times. My advise to you is: wait patiently for the price to hit 10000$ or 11000$ in the following years to come.

No, I don't think  so,  you have still your BTC and if you just hold and wait, it might give you a huge profit if not break even in the future.  My advise, if you don't mind, is just keep on holding your BTC, nobody can say but this might give you your dream come true.  Next time before investing,  acquired enough knowledge, plan a strategy and options before making your final decision.  This phrase.  "invest only the money you can afford to loose", might help you in all your decisions in the future, do remember it always for your good and to avoid bad and depressing situation.   Goodluck!

You are expecting the results too early,wait for the prices to go over your cost until you need to have some income source to complete your money need.If you just only trusted bitcoin for your future then it maybe a wrong decision because investments are always risky either it will have profits or loss based on the market situation.

You are not destroyed, Bitcoin is a long termed investment for most. You tried to get money quick and failed, happens to a lot. But if you do not sell, you will be rewarded when it climbs again. It is all about patience.

As a lot of investors said it, Patience is a virtue, good things will come up when you are patient.

I guess this is the same with a lot of early buyers of Bitcoin. Before Bitcoin rose to it's popularity and expensive price, it is just a cryptocurrency that only some of them really knows what will happen to it in the future. If you will wait for that time, that bitcoin will turn to $10k - $11k, there is no assurance that it will happen again, how would we know that it will happen again soon? right? It is better to invest in some other coins or maybe invest again while bitcoin price is low so that when the time that bitcoin price will recover from the price you invested, your money can be double on what you expected is just your investment.

Well, any investment brings up its risks, right? There's no way to become rich without risking. You either risk and become successful or you don't and you continue to live the normal day-to-day life.

I cannot promise and/or guarantee another price spike, but I can tell you that I've been here for a pretty long time and a lot of the people who bought in late 2013 when the price went up to +$1200 sold in 2015, when it fell back down to ~$150. I was one of them, I sold close to the lowest price BTC ever had since I found out about it.

Ever since that year I never panic-sold again. I consider it a mistake to sell on loss, unless there is an evident sign of BTC's collapse - which I have never seen and most likely will never see. I'm on loss too - I have between 80 and 85% loss on every ETH investment. I'm still holding though, waiting for it to grow back up. You supposedly need to invest an amount you can afford to lose.

Except pyramid schemes and scams, there is no way you can have a guaranteed ultra-high income. You do have some options:

• Sell everything and accept your loss
• Buy more as the price is now less than half the price you bought at, hoping for an increase
• Hold, waiting for another spike
• Do trading, start with low amounts until you become an intermediate/advanced trader. You might multiply your investment, but this is a second risk you will have to take after losing money through the $10-11k => $4k fall: you might also lose a big amount of money through trading.

If you BUY something as a speculative 'investment', then you must set an emotional stop-loss and get out at the point, if you HOLD until zero, then you enter what is called the 'gamblers ruin'

This was a parabolic rise, they all end this way, and they rarely ever come back, except sometimes a dead-cat bounce, but BITCOIN has already had its dead-cat bounces this year, now its continually trending lower every day,month, ... the price will revert to a mean, IMHO $1400, perhaps lower; BITCOIN will find a stable region, and then people can move back in and make money on the volatility.

The problem with BITCOIN is its a religion, and people become fixated as it is their only true GOD, and ignore everything else in the investment universe.

BITCOIN is now out of favor, it is now impossible to MINE it for a profit, no mining means no servers for transaction, soon 100's of thousands of S-9 antminers will be dumped by China for $10 or less, soon the difficulty will sky-rocket, people will think nothing of getting a bitcoin every ten years ( now 2 years ) to heat their flat in China.

Bitcoin is a bit overpriced in the past months, and this made it very volatile and vulnerable to bigger dumps. Just wait for the market to recover or you will lose if you choose to liquidate at this point.

Of course, I understand you, but it was unnecessary to buy bitcoin for such a high price, because the market, like bitcoin, very often falls and now you could buy much more bitcoins for the same money. I want to wish you patience and wait for everything to get better, but things cannot happen so quickly, at best, we will see some growth in 2019 at the beginning of the year if we will get very good news, and if everything will be transferred again, then we will must wait till end of 2019 or early 2020, so be patient.
