The key reason for gambling

I know the risk of gambling, it will make you loss eventually BUT !!
When I see people win massively , when there are massive promo , sometimes attract me to do something about it.
So when I try to gamble , I know that I'm going to loss but I'm also curious about my luck so I keep gamble for some time !

Everyone is different, but I'm sure most of the main reasons for gambling are looking for profit or money. This is because gambling can generate profits easily and in large numbers, making many people are gambling. I personally gambled to make a profit, but I was still within reasonable limits so I did not become addicted.

Making money is easy as within seconds you either win or lose out completely that simple it is. But losing ratio is more than winning chances and this difference is where lies the success and failure from gambling. If you are on winning side you should be happy and move away rather than becoming too greedy and continuing to play and lose out in the end.

The only closest option to me was "it is a way to spend free time for me" but it doesn't really tell the whole story. There is no option that puts the entertainment value of gambling into perspective. There are about 30 billion dollars spend on gaming every single year, when I say gaming I mean games like red dead redemption and gta and counter and what not. Now those people think that those games are fun and spend 30 billion dollars together.

I know gamblers do not play for entertainment all the time but there must be some people who do not like games like that but spend that money into gambling instead. Playing poker with 8 other people and waiting for that river to be your card so you can take the whole pot is just too entertaining to stop. Hell even zynga from facebook made a whole company based on "fake money" poker where they literally sell chips to people and make money so they are basically gambling company looking gaming company. Hence, I think entertainment value just like playing a game should not be overlooked.

I voted for "to make money". There are some other reasons like fun but they are secondary. The main reason is always money.
Some people come for money and stay because they get addicted or because they are winning. There's really not many people who do it for for fun.

Gamblers wants to earn money and that is why they continue to gamble even if they already know gambling is a risky game. This is the key reason why gamblers are keep on coming back to the casinos or gamble online, they are thinking about making easy money.

Well, its ok to be different sometimes. This can be the reason for the oldies who just want to enjoy their life and make their time worth it. If you can afford to lose money then spending your free time in gambling is pretty good.

Most of the people gamble for the money, they are looking for some activities that can make money in an instance, that is why there are many people addicted to gambling, some people looking for excitement and way to release stress, hoping that the excitement could make them earn some money, so actually gambling is almost all about money, the difference between good gambler and addicted gambler is how they control themselves to stop

I realize this question was probably raised before, but I believe that the answers might be changing with time, because bitcointalk community grows and because the interests and needs of people can become different in years. I recall a video on addiction that explained that people mainly become addicted because of feeling sad and lonely. When I made a thread about whether gamblers think that gambling addiction has the same reason, the answers differed a lot. Now I am curious what kind of people are gambling here. Are they mainly looking for money, excitement, socialization? Please vote and leave a comment below in case you want to add something to your answer.

Sometimes I play gambling because I just want to try my luck, sometimes with my spare time depending on a situation and I am not addicted to gambling, I don't know to others who are addicted to gambling because most of them want to earn money because of greediness and that js also can trigger their addiction.

I vote for "It's a way to spend free time for me" I see that people choosing "I want to try my luck" in the first position and yes, this could be a good reason to know how good our luck but we still need to control ourselves to not stay at the gambling places for a long time. And the second position is "To earn money" which we cannot always earn money, and even we are going to lose more money if we continue to play the game because there is no guarantee for us to make money from gambling.

After reading this thread, I got into gambling a few years back, and I have always known that I want to gamble because I want to earn money. I was foolish with it, thinking that I could gain from the greatest entertainment possible for a human. Focusing on the right strategies and more importantly, the focus to win. As they say, when you are just starting, you will experience the so-called "Beginners Luck," and it would be really satisfying and especially if you are winning with it. It's hard to convert yourself once you have analyzed what gambling has done to you in the long run. You sometimes succeed, and you always lose. That's just what happens in my opinion, there's no easy money in real life, and you just have to be positive.

The important thing is that don't consider gambling as a money-making tool or profiting thing, and it's just not possible.

I have voted for "It's a way to spend free time for me", but it's not that I just want to kill time. The entertainment aspect of gambling is what counts for me. We can't work 24/7, we need some rest, and gambling is what makes me rest much better than some other activities. It's not that it's the only possible way to spend free time, there are, of course, other possibilities, but I really can relax to the degree I need with participating in a poker tournament with $1 buy-in, and I don't know much of other options of relaxation where such a low amount of money is required.

In most case, people join gambling with purpose is that earn a lot of money without working hard, invest a little bit of money only. After winning some of the bettings of gambling, they will be addicted by the temptation of this game.

Well I guess a lot of people do too. Gambling is one of the easiest way to earn money and surely, everyone will want to try that so they might be basing the results if that will be a good way to earn money or not but we all know it is not a good way. You already said it, you lose often your money on gambling and that is already a good reason to make some spaces and set your priorities on what and where you should spend your money.

Free time, I do gamble to relax even though I know I will lose in the end.
Being a responsible gambler will help us minimize the risk, I will admit that when I was a newbie in gambling, I think I could make money easily

People mainly gamble to make money and other just to have a fun and relax time. May not be lonely but it opens up an another way to have the best of the time and meet other who could be like you and get to know each other.

For sure you will have to be ready for both earn and lose. So when you earn be happy and try to focus more on how to increase your money as you mentioned that your only motive to gamble is earning money and when you lose unfortunately then try to figure out that why you lost and try to remove your mistake for the next time because you gamble to earn not to lose.

In my own personal reason on why I gamble is to simply have fun and enjoy the game, I know that there will be certain instances wherein you'll really get frustrated, but as much as possible, I always try to stay positive and know when to win and when to accept defeat, my 2nd reason is to basically earn more money on what I have gotten with my job.

Gambling is a great way to earn money since you will be just relying on the luck, the knowledge and skill that you have as a gambler, but mostly on luck. You make wrong choices, you will lose. But if you can't afford to gamble, don't make a decision to do so, you will just lose your money instead of using that certain money for you and your family.

Gambling is a great way to earn money since you will be just relying on the luck, the knowledge and skill that you have as a gambler, but mostly on luck. You make wrong choices, you will lose. But if you can't afford to gamble, don't make a decision to do so, you will just lose your money instead of using that certain money for you and your family.

Same perception man. Even me myself I play gambling for the money itself. When Im playing I rely on my skills and my luck on playing a certain game. You cant just win by only having luck. Having a good skill on playing gambling boost your chance of winning.
