Ethereum mining 13.8 Mh/s

GPU:
https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/xfx-rx-580-gts-core-8gb-high-end-grafikkarte-6413013

I dont have a lot of experience in mining, just wondering if this values of 13.8 Mh/s are normal for the gpu.

cheers

What is your system setup ?
What OP system are you using ?
What miner program are you using ?
What is the version number for the miner software are you using ?
What is in the .bat file , or in your start file or whatever ?
What AMD driver version are you using ?
Are you using any tune software ?
Card are overclocked ? modded ?
If you are using windows, your virtual memory is set larger ?

... and no ... 13.8MH/s is not normal at all Smiley

Probably compute mode on driver is not enabled

even at non modded RX580 should reach at least 20MH/s

Theres a tiny little switch on xfx 580's right up by the 8 pin power slot. One is gaming bios and the other is 'compute' (or mining bios).

Id be willing to bet you're mining on the gaming bios.

Definitely enable compute mode, check the switch in both positions, and bios mod if you can face it. You should be able to double that hashrate easily...

You have to activate compute mode for GPU. This can be done using C:\Program Files\AMD\CNext\CNext\RadeonSettings.exe, but it is more convenient to use a utility Compute Switcher. You can download it here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2815803.0.
