There's nothing wrong if he will choose an ICO coin, lisk, eth, and waves are successful ICO coins and I would choose them over the any IEO coins this year. At least these coins are already tested, and they have survive even after a long bearish run, and they are on it's dip now, so it's a good decision to buy them. Lisk and Waves both dropped, but they still got a good trading volume and was not delisted in Binance yet, that shows they still have a lot of supporters.

Investing in altcoin now is good but you can choose the best you will buy so that you did not lose your money..
Many altcoins now after dipping they not go high again so you need to choose.

Because altcoins are pegged to the bitcoin and that's normal to see that if they are discussing the bitcoin. I have prepared some money to invest in the altcoin and waiting for another bottom again. I will sell them all when they are gaining the next recovery phase.

You have point most of altcoin depending on Bitcoin, hence if Bitcoin make a move then other currency will do the same. Investing on altcoin is not bad decision but make sure that the coin you were going to invest with has high potential. Investing in altcoin could be profitable compared to Bitcoin but along with it there's a high risk embedded on it.

Buy when fundamentals and development are improving. Don't be influenced by price.
