I just visit my wallet now and I find out that many of them are in a bad shape.  Coins like litecoin that went as high as  $300 is now below $40 and ethereum which host many tokens is currently struggling to remain above $100. Most of the tokens that are closed to $1 have lose over 95% of it December value. I think for some of us that invested in some icos especially the services one we are now regretting as many of them has been abandoned by the developers.
If the current trends control I believe about 80% coins and tokens that are listed in coinmarketcap will not be in existence by 2019. I will also want to here your views on this.  Thank.

Not all in bad shape but they are almost dead. Not only on your portfolio but on all investors on this crypto market had left out some serious scar or situation of our ports.
Recovery isn't a sure thing or guaranteed but we do know that market wont just be like this on dump state. We might see increase but it would be much preferable to be on gradual state than
on sudden pump.

Everybody was talking for the Ethereum that it would fall below 100 dollars, I think it could be fall to 50 dollars by the end of the year.

Litecoin is $29.
Ethereum is $96.

I regret of not selling my coins when they were quite better half quarter of this year. But that's it, I'm thinking of getting better with this market and these coins will surely recover somehow. They might not recover completely but at least they will.

They'll surely recover, following Bitcoin recovery. Just enjoy the ride, if you can't take the pain forget crypto for a while. See your portfolio later in 2020. Personally, bear market like this is very great to increase your ability to trade, pick an ICO and so on. I just make 3x profit (in ETH) from my previous ICO.

Well, just take a look at Coinmarketcap in 2013, and every year after that since. Many coins are gone even from today's top 100, some coins have completely died. The only thing that has been constant and at #1 is Bitcoin, so that should tell you a story about survival.

Altcoins will always be around. Alternatives are what we all want, but the sorry truth is that not all altcoins have purposes that people really need. I will say Litecoin as you mentioned is almost below 90%, but that's what the founder Charlie Lee said would happen less than a year ago. He knew the market and he knew history. We should too.

History repeat itself. But there is also a story when the entire market is dead after a hard blow. At this time, reading post from Murad Mahmudov is really enjoyable. Give you a lot of insight about the future of Bitcoin (and indirectly altcoins, in terms of price and speculation).

I used to own some Litecoin back in the days, but right now half of my portfolio is Bitcoin, with some interesting alts that looks pretty solid next year. They'll rise again, I believe so.

You are comparing something to what? When did you buy your coins?

ETH is up 800% since Jan 2017 and BTC is up 400%, thats not bad for 18 months investment.

EOS, BCH, LTC other other shitcoins and forkcoins dont deserve to be there, they are just false promises, watch out, and invest only in what you understand. Buying on hype is not good, not in crypto, not on real stock market.

Maybe the market is will worse than ever because people still think the market will improve. After the hopes are exhausted, ascension will begin.

for coins or tokens that are already well-known maybe this is only temporary. If you look at the history of the price of bitcoin, bitcoin was rumored several times so that the price dropped, but after that the price rebounded very high. This is just a game of investors who want to drop bitcoin then buy at a low price.

I really hope so, to be honest I am losing a lot of the value of my assets at the moment, but I realize this is a risk, and not only do I feel this, almost all crypto asset holders have felt very sad lately because the market is very low . hopefully the price will recover soon.

There's worser year when the market has been down by almost 90%.

No need to think anything bad with the market, if you've been here for few months you'll understand that this will get better soon. For someone who's good in analyzing charts, you'll see them hopeful that the market will get better after this tragic loss.

the altcoins will recover eventually but for more than 90% of them the highest price they reached last year was the one and only time they saw such high price and that will never be repeated. which is whty i don't think you can make what you lost so far back at all. all you can do is to wait for a small recovery then sell to get your money out with minimal loss.
then start investing in fresh coins that get pumped instead of the old pumped coins to replace them.

On second thought, I guess we won't have that much headache if we just invest what we can lose. Maybe 80% of projects at this moment will fail, but maybe not. I can't wait to see how will Altcoins recover in the next 1-2 years.

I think not all coins is on bad shape maybe the coins what you have is affected of bearish market. Don't lose your hope because everything will be alright again just a little more patience is needed.

What's wrong to the new investors.

After investing the market will just moon without any corrections needed. They invested after they saw bitcoin mooned so they think that sequence will never stop and this is the wrong idea that they've got thinking right now which they have to start realize that if it goes up, it will go down, rinse and repeat.

If you check the coinmarketcap website you will see some altcoins that has made a record on this bearish market like Gochain , although most of the altcoins are in deep but some of them are growing too , I think it depends on the project and its team , does not depend on the market so much .
