Trouble of Altcoins

2017 This is year was to sell altcoins and buy this year. Very troubles time was passed to hold your altcoins. Now some green although today again dumped.

buying in 2018 might be better. but in 2018 many may doubt because of the bad trend. this year began to improve even though there is a decline now. therefore many people feel this is part of the trap that happened in the market.

What altcoins do you think should be kept from top 10 or buy or drop part of the portfolio and keep only Bitcoin and possibly Ethereum that has fallen? As much as I understand this year it's better to hold?

You need to remember that the altcoin boom in 2017 was mostly caused by the ICO craze. So it is only natural that the valuations return to the pre-2017 levels once the ICO boom fades away. The major difference is that there are far more different coins in existence, than we had two years back. So there is greater competition for the same resources.

In this time it is the time to buy altcoin and bitcoin because there is a massive price decline and again the coin in the top ten may be the right choice for us to save so we don't always fall and go back to the moon again

The most important issue of altcoin is the large number of coins that do not experience an increase in the crypto exchange, so the price remains cheap, because of the mistrust of the merchants against the coin.
Maybe someday there will be natural selection where there are only five tens of coins or even less who can continue to trade because they are liked by traders. Without a continuous trade, the coin will die automatically, if it does not die the price is very cheap.

The issue now is that people are just focus on the don side, some Altcoins have done well this year, Quant, BNB, Chainlink etc they have return huge profit for their holders but most of the Altcoins have suffered this year because most of them have no reason to exit, this is my take on Altcoins for now

From that time cryptocurrency was starting very good time to investment. Top token price was low and altcoins was more lower then ICO or IEO.

Nothing that we can do when we already bought ICO for now. Because we only can make hope with their devs which only can do something with their project. But if not late to buy, better stay away or maybe do deep research about ICO or IEO.

The devs of those altcoins need to be arrested. Many of them do dump their tokens when the market signals red. Investors and long term holders are always the ones to suffer for it

Need more times for altcoin momentum, rightnow the market focus on the bicoin market. Why bitcoin pair altcoin always falling? because a lot people try to trade their altcoin for chasing a bitcoin profit. Q3 2019 would be good for altcoin, try to buy litecoin because the halving will be on august.

Every market is feeling the hit of the blood bath, but bitcoin has proven to be more resilient in all these turbulent market behavior. In so a market situation I prefer holding the bitcoin and just little of good altcoins, I don't want to hear or see a heart breaking chart.

I looked at the date of publication of this topic, Dec 2018, I remembered what a strong apathy i was, I tried to calm myself that it was already before, but it was hard, in the end we survived, next time during the market dump I will be distracted for a year, so as not to suffer. USDT, TROX, LTC, I think that the three coins have good growth, USDT cooperates with the algoran platform, the TRX platform that has sophistication in coin-making transactions attracts more crypto enthusiasts. IOS, STEEM and NET are also good to add to your portfolio, with the current conditions as good as any coin you hold, you must be careful of FOMOs or corrections that can knock you down.

We could not to confirm on that yet. Since it is not a sudden increase, it us happening gradually. If it is sustained, it might be the time for recovery and if not, in the next one or two weeks, we would know. We should be careful of investing just to our own good.

that situation might happen again. altcoin may fail this year to pump like what has happened to bitcoin. because maybe things will be a little different if the pump that happened yesterday belongs to all assets, not just my bitcoin that grows. the market might get stronger and a dump might not happen this deep.

The market is just not understandable at this time. Honestly. I can only hold on bitcoin and ethereum for now. The drilling is huge. But not to say we won't see a massive rise, the market can be trickish at time. You might dump a coin now and wake up tomorrow to see a new ATH on the coin. And the reverse also might happen. Crypto just requires great patience.

the current market situation is not good because the average has decreased significantly. whether or not the altcoin this year is very difficult to address its consistent price in the market. it doesn't mean that this is the end of the altcoin, I'm sure the altcoins in the top 10 will direct their development again.

bitcoin dominance make altcoin price decrease alot , and could not show its power to market.investors prefer to hold bitcoin that on fire now.only few altcoin that could growth in this condition.
