Remember back when BTC first hit $1000 and everyone was excited? That was an awesome time to be trading cryptos. This forum was live and full of excitement. BTC traded in a nice affordable range between $100 and $600 for the longest time. Everyone was trying to afford the lastest SHA256 miners. You can actually make decent money off mining pools. lol Those were the good times.

Yes, they were good times but most times people always look at only the good times . They always think that there will only be good times without any bad times, they are totally wrong and these are the people who end up being very disappointed incase anything does not go their way because they are not prepared to see the negative side.
Some of them end up even spreading FUD and becoming trolls - More like publicly abusing your ex-wife that she's ugly yet you once nurtured and married her

I was very excited when the price of bitcoin rose to the moon and altcoin also participated, even ico also experienced the same trend so I expected that working in a bounty throughout 2018 would get a lot of income. but precisely at this time what happened was a falling market. but that does not mean my spirit fades, it is even more excited to wait for next year's market to start a bull run.

No, what we need is someone who really recognizes the value of Bitcoin, not lost sane investor. Now anyone who claims that Bitcoin will rise 10 times from the price is blind, which is not conducive to promotion Bitcoin.

if you think there is a 10x rise coming then why are you saying "hold"? instead you should be buying not holding so that you can have more bitcoins while it is still cheap before that rise happens so you can maximize the profit you gain.

in fact i believe this is a big problem right now with the market. people are holding instead of buying and with that they are allowing whales to do whatever they like with the price and then buy cheap coins while others are watching. people should start taking the cheap coins out of the whales hands instead.

Most of those people left the Bitcoin scene and some of them returned later and commented on Reddit on how stupid and trigger happy they were to sell those coins, when they panicked too early.

History repeat it self over and over again and we are going through the same cycle now. Blood are on the street and people are running for the hills and the few people with balls, who stayed behind to fight, got all the spoils.

my biggest problem is why don't people learn from the history already? is it because last year there was a lot of adoption that a lot of newbies came in that they are not yet familiar with the history?

i think that may be it. i wonder what is going to happen next year when all of those who are selling nowadays see the big rally to the moon.

Well I just want this nasty year to be over with and start a new leaf in 2019. I am not very excited right now as I feel the market is being squeezed by the shorters no end and as it is very easy for the big wigs to make profits shorting BTC without even owning any, I do not see much of a bright future fight now where the price is concerned. I think we will see Bitcoin back to 1k USD levels and many miners shutterbug down to mine Bitcoin stupid cash instead. I dread the thought but looks like that is where we are heading to right now.

Those "good times" weren't good for me,because I've sold 0,33 btc at 1000 USD instead of holding them for one year and selling them for 17K USD.
Nostalgia is pointless,if you ask me.If 2016 was good times,according to you,then 2014 was probably bad times.

Perfectly said not only last year but even when the price hit high in MtGox exchange in 2014 and then it also got crashed and everyone was crying but who had faith were still holding and they got reward in 2017 and who stayed till last quarter enjoyed highest reward. So same we can expect now back when it will hit high but it will take time and we all have to be patience and buy in all dips so that we can earn high when it will hit high.

When trading in a volatile currency such as the bitcoin,one can definitely expect the good times were profits are made and also the bad when one incurs loss.
This is nothing really out of the ordinary,we definitely will have people leaving at this very dip moment and running/rushing back in when there is a seeming improvement in the network.
Until people come to grasp with the fact that this is not all about getting rich instantaneously,then they would not keep getting heart broken all the time their is a dip

Yeah, specially beginning of last year when bitcoin was just around $700 and then it went as high as $2k because of the first Winklevoss bitcoin ETF application, and then it went to $900 then go up again into 4 digits and then Japan enter the scene. Lol, those where the days, the start of the massive bullrun culminating and peaking December 2017.

Yes, you are right.
It was nice time back than but even better time was when btc price reached $ 20 000 around last Christmas.
It's human nature that we always wants to hear positive news and be excited!
Nobody like stagnation or worse, when price drop.
But, it's natural for any kind of the market.
Smart investors always thinks long term, wait and buying when everybody selling sand selling when everybody buying

buzz generally but ever since the ATH of January there has been a lot of
negativity. In another year we will be looking back at these times and

Now the times are good too. There is liquidity in the market. This means that everyone has the opportunity to earn money. You just need to be able to adapt to the realities of the market.

That's very exciting moment when people are rushing to have their miners, I also planned that but can't afford. So instead, as an alternative, I'm rushing to have it when I have spare money to spend with.

And that's very different from the predictions we've been getting by that time, early predictions are too realistic. After just reaching $20,000, crazy speculations came out which didn't happened by that time.
