Scammers are more cunning. The ease to issue a token as well as the ability to create the same symbol are helping scammers to steal money from investors. But if they face to the professionals, no door to suceed.

I dont know how the scammers did that since on their first attempt they are successful to get EOS back but on their second attempt they lose a huge amount also that just serves them right hahaha. Kudos to EOS dev and team for tracing the vulnerability but still man, how did the hackers did that.

Scammers always have programs that require investing something that is unclear, or promising something very excessive, and they always have a way to attract interested people

They have good knowledge and powerful tools to do that and mostly they are not poor people. They can steal our data using fake web/ email/ telegram channel ( phishing ) and also from sharing network. I believe we all know how to keep safe our asset, always finish our transactions until become currency is the best option.

Yeah, but it's always the people that are quite dumb enough to not be able to realize that they are getting lured into something bad just because their greediness.
Imagine someone keep on talking about getting keylogged whereas that person is always installing pirated software full of malicious harmful program.

Basically they will do anything just to copy the identity of the coin that we have. Even scammers are good in graphic designs so, we should double our safety when it comes to wallet address and private keys.

And then they are spreading that fake coin to be bought by others. I have seen a scammer that using that kind of method to fool others. how scammer was creating a fake contract of MTV and then this scammer was luring others to buy it,.

Crypto community needs to be vigilant all the time against these scammers and thieves, mostly they can contact you through telegram or email and they will try to get your personal details and data, so never fill out any links or forms they send you and also never click their links, secondly always use a strong and unique password for your wallet and keep your secret key at a safe and secure place and never share it with any one else.

Reading their method, I wonder how it's possible that they were successful before. In this case, the Gamblr team only needed to do a simple check to avoid being scammed.

I think that there are a lot more coins like this than we actually realize out there, so many coins that are pretending to be other better and well known coins and for people who do not know how to check the smart contracts of these coins will be more vulnerable to the scams like these as they would not know that the coins that they are buying are not the real coins.

in fact there are many ways that can be done, but the mode that is most often used is by making an exchange website display that resembles the original exchange. and finally many people are trapped into that trap
