What are your thoughts? Just some quick thinking: Dreaming Tesla is nice, but there has to be a serious incentive for them to allow mining through their product. That seems quit a challenge for the Uplexa-team. I think as long as Tesla does not approve it is very hard to get it done legally, because I can imagine their warranty package will not allow this, or they don't like being associated with mining crypto, etc. To catch on for joe public it has to be legal. OR you can just do it without approval, then Tesla files a case, crypto-mining comes in the news negatively (again) and it will never appeal to the general public. I'd love to be proven wrong though  Since the incentive model (earning UPX) for the Tesladrivers is allready there, and if mining is made easy and a one-click trick, convincing the tesla-customers is a lot easier. But to catch on it has to be legal. Imho it should have a dedicated wallet with an automated system. Which will periodically allow to convert UPX to local currency against the highest possible rate (market-order) and deduct earnings directly from the monthly electricity-bill, or send earnings directly to your bank-account. This system should be optional ofcourse. This applies to every electric car, and ultimately is possible for every IoT-device. If IoT-mining Uplexa works on Tesla, is done legally and earns back the electricity-bill, you got everybodies attention and UPX will definately gain traction. Tesla's and any other electric vehicle will keep getting more and more computational power so it can drive people by itself. Human brain computes tons of data while driving, so to replace it, there are cameras, radars, lidars, GPS, parking sensors, rain sensors, and many many more sources of information which have to be computed before the central onboard computer can take a decision. However, when the car is charging, this computational power sits idle, doing nothing. And when some day the warranty period is over, you can install the miner with no trouble. This is where uPlexa comes  I can't help but "bounce" on the "quite a challenge for the Uplexa-team" comment... I agree that it sounds like a loooooong road to drive to get there, but let's remember that since some other crypto projects have been struggling for more than a year to be able to release a working dedicated Android mining app (and it has not been released yet there...), while within a few months of existence, uPlexa Team delivered a working Android miner, which moreover allows you to decrease the CPU intensity while increasing the hashrate So about that Tesla idea, I'd be more... wait'n see, those guys have never yet made any cheap talk, they have always delivered on what they were planning to. I think we could have a few more very nice surprises soon |

He explained that for now uPlexa resistance to ASICs is pretty high and the chances for someone developing such device for the custom UPX Cryptonight algo are minimal. However the team has a backup option in case someone spends several hundred thousands on a new ASIC developmnet. So.. keep mining! |

He explained that for now uPlexa resistance to ASICs is pretty high and the chances for someone developing such device for the custom UPX Cryptonight algo are minimal. However the team has a backup option in case someone spends several hundred thousands on a new ASIC developmnet. So.. keep mining! of course! ASIC development is always possible, for almost any coin and algo, but it's also expensive... so people do this when there is already a minimum of adoption and a big marketcap, not at this state of the project, or I would be damned  |

It will take some time, but when the uPlexaproject is full on, the ASIC-makers will try to get UPX under their control. Fortunately the devs have measures in place to counter these ASIC-attacks on the spot. Seeing whats happening to Monero right now, that's a reassuring thing to know. For now we just need steady growth and development, that will work best when still under the radar of the big boys.
Better get those CPU's and IoT-thingies to work!

Are you using the same pool? Same miner, same hardware? Please provide statistics! There must be some error. The only thing that has meaning is Hashrate, difficulty and ping (to some extent). |
