OP was indeed right that there was no bull run in 2018.
But we don't know his prediction this year, and my personal view prior to this good run that we are witnessing is that 2019
is going to be a great year. I am not saying I'm right as it's too early to conclude but it's showing some good signs.

BTC at one month trend looks very nice and neat.

The movement is going uptrend and this is what we like to see, probably more upward trend will be achieved in this year.

A lot of people expect the BTC halving in 2020 to maybe cause a bull run but wasn't the last halving in July 2016? And at that time, there wasn't really any short term effect? It was the year after the halving which brought us the biggest bull run so far.

Then they are right, though the mid 2019 was not yet concluded but there is a significant increase happened already.
Bitcoin always took the first step towards the bull market, then altcoins will follow, this has been the trend for a long time already, so I'm confident on the market status right now. There are some doubts, but that is alright and acceptable since we did have a long bear period.

I also expecting bull run in this year. So many experts said 2019 is the year for crypto market. I aslo trust that and waiting for that moment.
