It seems to be good for the moment on the privanon pool.
I'll take a chance on it Smiley

The diff have to be recalculate every 10-20 blocks maximum.
It's hard to confirm transactions with the current diff

Ok, I just check the last blocks and we have a huge problem indeed !

Current diff = 4, last 10 hours we found ~20 blocks.
20 blocks are supposed to be found in 20*50 sec = 17min !!!
The network is 40x slower that what the diff want, Thats why the coins seems frozen every transaction will require days do be confirmed instead of minutes.

Come on dev, do the update and set a recalculation every 10 blocks or the coin is dead because the network is dead ! Sad

PS : Next diff calculation in 825 blocks = 17 days with the current hashrate

Hard fork needed to change that before the block 17450 (~3 days)

I'll read the threat, but right now I remove my rig ... I can't loose more money if the coin remain untradable.
I'll be back when the diff will be fixed.

Sorry guys, Good luck, and I hope i'll see you soon Smiley

I'm still mining (aside from my Internet being down last night  Sad ) but I definitely recommend doing the update sooner rather than later.

It's very interesting to see how the different coin parameters affect things like this.

It's slow because of the time 120 confirmations take with so few people mining, but Privanon is definitely paying out for anyone with concerns.

I'm slowly but surely amassing a nice stash of Hawaiicoin, and the pace will pick up once my new Gridseeds arrive next week.

... so sad for this coin Cry

Why's that? The devs are working on an update and there's some cool things coming along.  There's much more long-term potential in a coin with a gradual growth than a quick pump-and-dump scheme.  I'm still mining it while it's being ignored by everyone else, holding it, and looking forward to the update.

There's more potential in coins where there aren't a lot of people paying attention to it yet than in ones where everyone's competing over it.  It's Hawaii time; not everything has to be rushed. Be patient and keep mining.  Smiley

privanon pool(official pool) is a scam pool. Therefore HIC(hawaiicoin) is a SCAM coin. I could never get transactions to work. I was never able to get anything into my wallet. I mined like 15 k of that in the first couple of days.

I got 1403 HIC in my account of privanon as of RIGHT NOW, and 0 in my wallet.

Nice scam

I even tried contacting support on Privanon twice, once last week once this week, zip, nada , nothing.

Again nice scam. This will remain a scam.

14,000 COINS VANISHED IN THIN AIR WOW

fuckers like you deserve a bullet to the temple

They didnt do a premine because they were gonna steal coins anyway, hint hint

calm down newbie! did u read the whole thread?do u know why it takes so long for new coins mined to be confirmed? do u know why the pool is having problems?
its always easy to scream scam,if u feel scammed do a coin on ur own and u will see how hard it is.
and with 4 posts i wouldnt take my mouth too full

Privanon does appear to be offline right now, but has been working for the most part recently after some significant technical problems at start. Aside from the idea that technical problems justify murder threats, which most clearly do not, this is not a scam coin.

I have been mining since the first day and there have been some problems. But the dev team, while trying to juggle this with with other commitments, has done everything to take care of things as quickly as possible.  I can assure you that while payout have been slow due to the high number of confirmations and the low number of people mining (both being worked on by the dev team) I have been getting regular payouts from the Privanon pool -- the most recent being about three hours ago.

Have you tried contacting the devs politely (i.e. without resorting to death threats) to ask for help?

vvv8,

We're sorry to hear about the problems you've been having.  We did get an email from a MIRAMAR user on 4/10 but I'm assuming it wasn't you because after explaining about confirmations vs. immature/mature coins they were satistified and even emailed shortly after saying they received the coins.  I've tried to explain this in earlier posts on this thread.

What address are you sending emails to?  Email us at admin@hicoin.org and we can work with privanon to dig through transaction logs and find out what the problem might be.  Send us your username so we can start the search.  I'm certain if there is validity to your claim we will get to the bottom of this.  And...as we've always said, ANYONE can build a pool if they'd like to.  We will even help with the wallet build.

We would appreciate you not use the word scam, as it flies in the face of what we're working to achieve with this coin.  It also undermines the value of it as most of us on here, including myself, continue to mine away since we continue to see future potential in it.

vvv8,

The privanon pool sees your account and transactions for manual payout on 4/10.  Please contact us to research further.  Also, we've gotten your wallet payout address from the pool and sent you a small HIC transaction to validate that you can receive HIC on that wallet.  Please validate this exact amount when you contact us so we know for sure you have this wallet and can receive HIC.

vvv8,

Although the Privanon team is still investigating what happened to the payout, they have agreed to send you 14,000 + 1,000 extra (total of 15,000) to remedy the situation.  Thanks for contacting us (we got your email) and on the hicoin end we did find that your payout did not make it into the blockchain, so you were correct on not having gotten your coins.  Hope this solves the problem for you.  And no more death threats on the forum please.  We have an excellent team that is working long nights and weekends to push this coin forward and support our community members and they deserve better.

So the coins have been reimbursed, they acted after i sent an email to the above address. I guess the support on the official pool is inoperable. I was told this problem was individual to me.
thankyou admin team,my original post had been edited

Edit: I wanted to add that i really liked everything about hawaiicoin, that is why i decided to mine it over other alt-coins at that point in time. being on the receiving end of some crypto scams, and with everything else going on in the world of cryptocoins i lashed out, that was unwarranted on my part. with your fast response after the email, i apologize for that bit harsh
