For example at start of this year I bought some ETH at that time it was around 400$, I set a target that I will sold when it will be doubled, although it was huge/big target. each traders have their own strategy to generate profits.sme of them hold for long term and some of them just for day trading.its depend on their character.as long as we could earn profit from any coins with our strategy this is good for us and dont make it as problems.

I agree with you, not to invest all funds in one place. and I only like bitcoin because I believe bitcoin will be very good for the next 2 years

When investing your money, always think as a investor. Never get sentimental about it. That is what differentiates pro to the beginners. A dev/fan attaches emotional value with the coin and is not able to take the right decisions at the right time. I have lost a lot of money in stocks in a similar fashion and learnt a lesson the hard way.

I would agree with your theory of not putting all your money in regards to Equity/Debt and other traditional assets. But cryptocurrency as an entire market is a totally different ball game in the present. Most of the projects have nothing to show of economical benefit (In fact even top 10 coins cannot justify their valuations) at the present. Their valuation is being accorded to their ability to disrupt the scene in the future. So the entire market is more of hinged on Bitcoin and is largely driven by movements in Bitcoin.

Indeed. Supporting a coin just for profit puts you in a shaky situation in an already volatile market. I think it's fine to keep a couple of favorites to hold for the long run, that is if you feel confident about their relevance in the future.

Your opinion is also very real and i think depending on the time of good or bad market we choose Altcoins which are potential. Focus on a coin is also not potential and effective.Coins that have strategies and the prospect i always take priority and hold.

We also have to look at the progress from the developers if they are active for the success of the project and are intelligent and to know that how to give the future to the project then these coins grow more higher in the future and give more profit to the investors.

There is nothing wrong with what you have said, most of these altcoins never get back up when they fall. Sometimes you will see some groups and all they do is look for altcoins to pump and dump, and if you keep waiting, everything will be dumped on you and you become the loser. I don’t play with any good opportunity I get to pull myself off from any cryptocurrency I think might be bad.

well, the point is don't focus on 1 token, and focus on tokens that have functions and rapid development, of course that will make the possibility of large profits. I believe, this year has taught us about restraining, patience, and more.

Yes, it is always beneficial to take profits at regular intervals. Holding coins for long in the belief of huge profits may turn out to be a wrong decision. Alts rise in bull run and crash heavily in bear market. So its always wise to flip alts and stay in BTC to reduce overall sats value.

There is nothing wrong with what you have said, most of these altcoins never get back up when they fall. Sometimes you will see some groups and all they do is look for altcoins to pump and dump, and if you keep waiting, everything will be dumped on you and you become the loser. I don’t play with any good opportunity I get to pull myself off from any cryptocurrency I think might be bad.

Sometimes you would really need to risk up something if you do like to make some money.Its just like a gamble but choosing which one is important.Most of them
do really dump and never came alive and dump to death specially when developers or the community itself decide to abandon such project. Diversify investments is good but

Exactly you are right. I did this mistake on begun. Really I wasn't bought for trading, my intention was to hold longer. But unfortunately like a fool I had invested only single coin. After that it was became 4X down. Then I sold it and start trading to recover. I have recovered almost 60% of my loss and hope I will recover all my fund within month. Now I do not love any coin, just sell once I have at least 10% profits and I re-buy again on dip. That's why I told don't love any coin. Obviously I have few favorite coins but I don't love them. I just choose them for trading, not for holding longer. Holding possible only if I can buy on all time low, otherwise I am not interested to hold longer. I just love bitcoin for hold, don't care what is the USD price.

First of all, so sad that you've lost a huge amount of bitcoin in your past mate. But anyway, even you've faced those circumstances as I look upon your story I saw that you already overcome it and moved on unto it too. Thanks also for sharing this things with us. I agreed that we shouldn't put all our capital in one coin, that's certainly correct. Instead, we must always remember that never put your eggs in one basket that's the logic of your statement.

of course not, altcoin and bitcoin are just another form of currency, there is no need to be favored, if you like it, be prepared for reality and the consequences because each coin has its own moment, I only took a few and for a little profit from that

Most altcoins use the same or similar technology as BTC, for the market to develop and grow we need diversity, it can finally lead to better solutions and to a fster way of solving the existing crypto problems. Alts bring their own value to the market and add to a wider adoption of crypto by general public. I might sound very naive, but we won't move far if we all hold only BTc and consider other coins only from the "sell as the price goes up" perspective. What's more, I do think that with time some of altcoins can overtake BTc as the market leader, I'm not saying it's going to happen in 2019 or even in 5 years time, but this opportunity can not be dismissed. So I do keep some of the coins I consider promising in the long run and I hope for more good alts to appear

That is logical coz there are too much shit coins, but it was a total surprise to me to see bitcoin gold on the delete list. This coin was one of the most popular at its time, don't people interested in it anymore for real?
