I love a lot of coins which defends on the project they have and the technology and products they are providing too. I also lost a lot of Bitcoins in certain altcoins but i also earn more in other altcoins too. You have a point though.

That’s really nice and not only you but allot of people are here who earned money with care and skills in trading of bitcoin. I have never tried any other Altcoin but I only use bitcoin that gives me good income. I really appreciate those who keep on investing even at bad days...so I like to apply my skills on bitcoin this year once again.

This field and this situation will not allow you to make any steps I hate because we are know the situation is not conveying for us that's why this topic will hear and it will change soon hoping the value will definitely increases for Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency will also beneficial from that.

I always prefer to diversify my own portfolio when it comes to investing in cryptocurrencies. It is safer than investing only in one coin because not all altcoins will have the same price situation when market go down. Prices of some altcoins are still going up even there is a bear market so it is better to buy sone select coins instead of all in.

I like to have more choices in my portfolio because it will help me to know exactly which projects will grow well and which projects will die in the future. We may face a lot of risks, but investing many coins can make us have a better view of this market.

Having more choices is a good one too because you have the advantage already to diversify just in case you lost to some of the projects due to their lack of potential. It is recommended here already that the more altcoins you hold the more your chances to gain a good profit.

It is not just loving any altcoins, it is how you see the potential of such coins during the making of their projects.

I don't want to mention but I have lost many btc just one coin. Just think it will go more up and didn't sold. In a result price dropped 4X. So I want to say don't love any coin, just sale when you are in profit and go another coin or wait for drop price again and buy it. It's very difficult to recover once drop an Altcoin. One more thing, don't invest your all fund on single coin. It will loss more, who know it will up or drop.

Great advice, thanks. Like myself I love some altcoins such as Ethereum, Tron, Maker, Decentraland, and BAT. I just like buying and HODLing them until when the market starts burning down which I have no choice but to sell them all.

The advice not to love any coin is sensible,  you are not here to invest your emotion but your money and if you make good decisions, your money increases and with bad decisions you may lose it all!

You do not need to love altcoins, Bitcoin or fiat as soon as it is very strange to show the emotions towards the money or assets. You simply need to know how to pick good tokens that will grow in future.

Well, I hope you were well aware of the risks before you decided to invest in such an altcoin. I don't think you need to generalize the entire altcoin world simply because you failed in a single one. In the first place, there are so many altcoins that made other altcoin investors rich, some others almost overnight. Of course, there were also those who ended up losing instead. Ofcourse i love altcoins buying and holding them but in the past year altcoins kills my money for holding them 
I don't know why the market not good in 2018 but i move on and take advantage again.

Yes don't put eggs in one basket,  and don't put all money in to crypto because out there any others asset to invest like stocks,  real estate etc.  With high volatility of crypto we should use money that willing to loss to invest or trade it.

that's what we have to do before investing or trading, doing research about the coins we want to buy for investment or trading is very important, don't just come and buy an altcoin for us to invest or trade, for example we don't want to lose the amount of capital we have, and now we just hope that there will be a refund of money to recover the losses we have suffered.

We trade them and holding till getting profit works imo. Hodl doesn't mean to fall in love with crypto. Day trading requires capital and strong psychology. Traders usually buy low and sell high in order to minimize risks and maximize rewards. Jumping from one to another coin is risky and gaining quick profits aren't reliable method for guys with big balances.

i think you have a point here. 80% of all the Altcoins i bought are 5x down. No movement. i am really stuck. i can not make any trading. i don't want to use my fiat money to buy tokens Again. it looks terrible. i rather invest in bitcoins or Eth. apart from these two coins. the rest are Nothing. No wonder some professional ONLY Believe in bitcoin.

I have an investment portfolio in which there are altcoins and I periodically sell them and buy new ones.

You can combine trading and holding - I do not see any problem here. Pick the altcoins with low market capitalization to trade them, and hodl such cryptos like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Monero.
