BitCoin is good for longterm because I believe it will recover again the value of this coin and maybe it will increase the value higher more.
But it depends when you will hold your bitcoin maybe few months or few years depends on your prediction to bitcoin price.

I think bitcoin is worth holding in the long run, the market is currently heading towards recovery and that will be an opportunity for good profits going forward.

If you see people panicked and sold their coins at 3k levels, and now prices are already around 4K levels it's the power of holding. In case of bitcoin you have 2 options:

day trade

Hold

You can also use both options simultaneously

You can do daytrade and the daytrade profit can increase in the portion of HOLD.

I will not talk specifically about daytrade, I will talk about HOLD, in my opinion to have high profit in crypto world with hold the person should be willing to hold for 3 years. Basically: buy a lot of bitcoin today and just count on high profits in 3 years, probably in 3 years you will see a profit of 3X or 5X or 10X. But just wait 3 years to make a high profit, you may have a high profit before those 3 years, but when you set a goal of 3 years to make a high profit, then you do not have extress and do not create high expectations.

My reason for long term investment is the outlook for a freelancer.

I am not smart nor a genius on many subjects but I have been capable of living my life from home making enough money to support my life for the past 2 years without going to any work, that was possible because of bitcoin, that means bitcoin does have a big impact on our day to day lifes even if many people see it as a way to make more money via trading.

If you take the bitcoins project at face value you can see that it is solving a lot of worlds problems easily by eliminating global money transactions costs and making it very easy for small amounts of money to be transferred to you. If you are living in a third world country making 99 cents an hour is really impossible because getting paid part would be difficult, how would someone pay you 10 dollars a day, however in bitcoin or any other crypto its quite easy to send that type of money to someone.

For sure it wl recover again so that's why you need to wait the price to increase again. Longterm is the best option because if you are going to choose shorterm it is not enough to get your money back or recover again . Longterm is getting your rich.

As current market is way to low as compared to 2017 prices where market has surge. So we know how far btc can reach and still has a long scope for the rise to happen. This gives us enough opportunity to invest at the present market rate for the long term and make money in coming years.

Even if bitcoin will be trading above $20k, I believe it must be a good option for long term investments. I mean not just due to the downfall which happened in 2018, bitcoin is seeming like a good long term opportunity. It is always as it has potential which might be needed by the people of 2050 then it would be a great idea to invest now itself. I may sound non-realistic, but that is the real fact, we must need to accept.

definitely . 'cause short term investment is working only depends on the situation of the market.  So must focus in long term as well and don't be greedy because it will lead you to failure. Which must have patience to succeed 'cause that's the only solution to prevent regrets.

I suggest you to do your own research before buying any coins as this investment is too volatile and you need to have patience to wait until you get your profits. Yeah it's a good investment if you know how to manage it correctly. Buy while still at lower price and don't get any panic if the price will fall from your buying as this will bounce back.

I am sure the situation will return to normal in the next few years, and after this situation has passed, bitcoin will rise high beyond the value it has ever achieved. so if you want to invest now, bitcoin is quite cheap but the risk is still very large. I suggest you better wait until there is a lot of good news for crypto trading.

It certainly is a good idea to invest after a big decline, not that those coins are guaranteed to rise but there is a much better chance of success to buy now and wait for the rises in 2019

The tendency when there is a volatile token the price of it have chance to become very expensive and at the same may become very cheap. The only reason why I invest in bitcoin because I know somewhere in the future it will become very expensive.

I guess that you are missing out the fundamentals of bitcoin design. I mean to say bitcoin is here to have very big values so that more people will be adopting it for using it is a payment system in future. When by consider this fact, you will start accumulating bitcoin as much as you are able to, and you will never think about selling it. This is for the long term and what you are mentioning are just for momentary benefits i.e. short term.

Aiming for short term benefits (or otherwise known as trading) is the reason many people are struggling with speculation and expectation. Just target for big value after years then you will never find the any problem of holding bitcoin and you will surely enjoy big profits too.

What distinguishes from stocks is that bitcoin fluctuates very quickly and even in large numbers, so this can be said to be a stock because we can get profit from fluctuations. i dont have a reason to use bitcoin for long term because i actually enjoyed it for a short amount of time or for short terms rather .  i buy sell cryptos and i earn a sufficient profit with it , so for me there is no point of investng and hodling my btc for long term   but altcoins ? Maybe    .   alts are late bloomer as its obvious that their starting value were only smaller compared to btc .  i guess they are more suitable for longer terms right ? Eh , what do you think ?
