Of course today ethereum is much higher in price than it was a few months ago. Almost 2 times the price has risen over the past couple of weeks, but there is a great hope that the growth of the market will not stop there.

It has gotten ridiculous, we see new threads every time it moves up 10 percent or down 10 percent.  I swear some people on this forum have no attention span and they only think short term.  They are the types that would of sold bitcoin at $5 after buying it at $1 and thinking they made out like bandits.

$40 would be a really bad price. Hopefully it will not happen in the next few weeks, but the prices are already falling again and nobody can say how deep.

Market cap is falling without brakes, and today some whaleshave transfered thousands of eth to exchanges (some of them, are big whales that acumulated eths from since their price was few cents).

When this whales sell their eth for some million dollars the falling will be tremendous.

This is one of the worst FUDs that I heard in all my life. This FUD is also a lie because there is no any proof of the whale activity that will destroy the Ethereum price. Hey OP,  congratulations the Ethereum price is now at $120 today.

It can happen! I never thought about this, and I always defended people who said ETH at 50 USD! But right now, I think bitcoin price will hit a new bottom and ETH too! If the ETH fork succeeds then we can hope for a good future of Ethereum, otherwise, the new bottom is waiting for the investors!

ETH has the long way to go and falling in value seems to be far more less than its rise . Definitely the price will depend upon then btc if it falls even other coins will continue to fall and vice versa . It happened a lot of times before. Eth was even priced at 85usd just roughly a month ago. Though i'm not sure if it'll drop that low to get below 80usd. Eth has a big following dude and this coin will keep afloat no matter how many times it goes down.

Well, you made this topic in December 2018 and now January 2019. It has been proven to date the price of ETH is not up to 40 $. of course we all hope that ETH will not go down to 40 $. now it's still the recovery phase I guess, and hope there is good news about ETH

The market has not getting any improvement because it's still in the bearish mode and the prices had starting to go down. This is the situation that new investors are in doubt to invest as they may end-up in bull trap. I think that ethereum will not go lower at $40 even if the market will hit bottom as this currency has capable to push the price due to community support and the adoption of smart contract.
