Market cap is falling without brakes, and today some whaleshave transfered thousands of eth to exchanges (some of them, are big whales that acumulated eths from since their price was few cents).

When this whales sell their eth for some million dollars the falling will be tremendous.

Well this does not mean always that when there is dumping the price will just drop drastically, as long as theres a buyer in every sell order will end this price correction. Spending and buying back is somehow good for the market too compared to just holding alone inorder to create a volume.

The major issue is when the market is falling we used to see all these price speculation and lot of story of assumptions , but I still believe that even if one person hold all ETH and decide to sell them in one minute that does still say the price must for or can go more dipper , the major thing is to let the every one trade at the  peace so any mutual price is the winner.

It will be sad if it happened. Ethereum is a top tier coin that has been valuable for years. Seeing it go down this low makes me feel that the life on crypto is also diminishing. ICO scams are every where and the platform itself is too low in terms of value. I just hope that the market will recover stronger than ever. If it takes a while to recover, I don't think a lot of people will remain patient.

That is not possible unless BTC crash and bring the whole market down along with it, Ethereum hardfork is coming in few weeks and there will certainly price reaction to the reduction in the block reward, also remember Ethereum is planning to move to proof of stake and I believe whales are mopping up the tokens at the current price

Well, that would take ETH to lose more than 50% of it's value, which has of course happened several times now since the ATH. Not an impossibility but you should see that whales have been doing this for a while now. Maybe it's not just to sell ETH but to buy other alts? Transferring of thousand of ETH to exchanges by whales does not mean that the price of ETH will drop after all,we just need to stay positive and stop spreading fud.

Well, this is just a FUD. However, I am not surprised that Ethereum has dropped to $40. This is likely to happen. Only when the market reaches the true bottom will a new round of bull market be opened. So, I am not afraid of the decline, what I fear is that the market is in a long-term sideway.

Let us all just wait until something happens. Eth will either fall further or recover. But if eth will ever reach $40 many will be hurt including me as well. I invested at eth while it was below $150 and it's sad to admit that I might loose more when eth keeps falling. I'm just hoping that eth and the market will bounce back.

I think you're just panicking. In my opinion, whales are now engaged in increasing the reserves of cryptocurrency. And as shown this year, the reserves of ETH on the wallets of whales increased. They works with buy fast and sell fast, know they works but don't know when is very bad. I think you need to think again before decides using ethereum as investment/ trading product, market still not support all activity.

Of course today ethereum is much higher in price than it was a few months ago. Almost 2 times the price has risen over the past couple of weeks, but there is a great hope that the growth of the market will not stop there.

It has gotten ridiculous, we see new threads every time it moves up 10 percent or down 10 percent.  I swear some people on this forum have no attention span and they only think short term.  They are the types that would of sold bitcoin at $5 after buying it at $1 and thinking they made out like bandits.

ETH has the long way to go and falling in value seems to be far more less than its rise . The market has not getting any improvement because it's still in the bearish mode and the prices had starting to go down. This is the situation that new investors are in doubt to invest as they may end-up in bull trap. If this happens then all altcoins will also get affect & will plunge to lower price.
