I used vpns for a long time, in the beginning I just used free browser plug ins to have a bit more privacy. But some websites detect these apps and don't allow me to access their websites, similar to ad blockers. A few months back I switched to nord vpn after getting a cheap offer from YouTube. I can definitely recommend vpns to anybody.

I do not use a paid VPN provider, Besides, I use the free VPN service of the OPERA browser when I need such a situation. This seems to me more secure than most VPN providers.

Well, CG was my first option, now NordVPN is my primary. Can't explain why, just like it much more

I usually use a tor browser if I need to bypass a blocked browser, and to maintain anonymity I think vpn not so much does, most of them do not provide anonymity to their users

I use NordVPN and ExpressVPN. Many services are banning VPN users and I haven't found one that is able to unblock every single website that I use. Recently Netflix has not worked well with Nord so I use ExpressVPN for this reason. I also use a VPN for watching sporting events. I don't know how strict ISP's are with people who watch pirated streams but it is always a good idea to take precautions.

I don't use a VPN as, under UK law you can be asked to decrypt the VPN data if the government suspects you. If you don't encrypt you get 2 years in jail or 5 years if you're suspected of child pornography. Therefore, why using a VPN?

Yes, I use vpn when I need it. Only the main thing is that the VPN is fast, otherwise it will be torture.

Yes, I do, particularly for accessing geo-restricted content on Netflix. And No, free VPNs do not work.
In case you are looking for a good VPN, go with Express VPN or Proton VPN. I personally use Proton, it's a Swiss company, which is not obligated to give up personal information to the government.
