Mazacoin never had a "hype time".

Seriously?
Go back and read over all the threads surrounding the coin launch, and all the lies and hype that was being spread.

lol, but that was just the birth of the coin. Every coins birth is a spectacle.
What you call "hype" was nothing else then "joy of fatherhood", the father being happy about the newborn child.

Therefore, ... just let the child grow up, for crying out loud,.... you are judging a toddler for not being able to walk yet?

It was outright lies and pumping.

I don't care about pumping. Every creator pumps the thing he wants to sell. Pumping is not per se bad.

But lies? Probably exagerations, promising things too early, etc...

It was loudly and frequently claimed that the coin had been adopted as the official currency of the tribe. That was a lie.

"It was loudly and frequently claimed that the coin had been adopted as the official currency of the tribe. That was a lie."

Yep, that was untrue. And therefore we have to work twice as hard to regain the trust of cryptocurrency community. It is a long path and needs countless of days, but I believe we will get there.

It is from this point on, important to tell everything about mzc with 100% honesty and specially avoid any sort of hype.

The original idea of mzc still remains, and is pure and solid as steel. I agree that many mistakes have been made at the early stages of mzc, however we must remember that time is not a linear concept. The mzc

devs and active members of the community can learn from their mistakes in the past and polish the concept and functionality of mzc.

I find the invention of cryptocurrencies revolutionary, and believe it is exactly in the use of mzc where it serves best. The history of the Lakota nation is full of broken promises by the US. With their own land and

their own currency they can finally say goodbye to their oppressor. I see a scenario where the Lakotas and the Bit Coin investors can benefit and thrive. I am happy we have only true believers left. We -

the investors can follow a nation brake it's shackles, gain financial growth and build a successfull economy. I am looking forward to the coming months and years ahead with P. Harris, the devs and of course the

Lakotas.

Gentlemen, Maza Coin is the money of free men.

It´s not there are 2 councils over Lakota one of them approved it and second one is "long-term looking"

A claim which has been made several times, and never backed up.
The council linked from the MazaCoin page was exactly the same one which said plainly that MazaCoin was not an official currency. I've documented that.
The original source for this mythical second council claim seems to have been AP, at a time when he was also saying that Payu would soon be the next head of the Lakota. (Despite not actually being one.)
I don't see any reason to trust anything AP says.
Provide a statement from someone representing the Lakota which says a tribal council has adopted it, or stop posting hype.

On the month of May there was a miniature scandal about this, president Brewer did not back mzc, which put some people off. I personally did not care then, and don't care now. Free Lakota men and woman don't need presidents permission to use crypto. Should the BTC users ask permission from Obama?

That's what I heard that the second council was still looking into it, this is still young days considering the grand scale of the future of cryptos. One day/step at a time, if adoption is worked on, the rest will fall into place.

Then I will have another "Dust" choking as the sheep stampead in the opposite direction.

Yes, this point is more than beaten to death guys.

We're well aware that is was premature (or perhaps straight bullshit) to announce "Official Soveriegn Currency" - without the Tribal government approving it - however we also know that the tribal Council - which is a traditional authority, but not governmental has approved of it. This is rather typical in indian affairs in the US.

It is also the case that no one posting in this thread is making such claims - those were claims made early on by AnonymousPirate, who (apparently) staunchly refused to retract them. All we can do is move forward and ensure that current and future statements reflect the truth of reality and not some dream someone has.

I think that the main concern should be to remove that verbage from mazacoin promotional material, and instead seek real world use from members of the tribes. Buth this is very secondary to actually fixing the code so that the blockchain works correctly. It doesn't matter who calls it a soveriegn currency and who calls it bullshit if you can't use it for the intended purpose - trade.

And right now, you can't trade a coin for goods or service that takes 1minute to 18hrs to make a transaction.

No we don't.
We know that has been claimed (by AP), we do not know it is true.

Yes, this is a terrible circumstance that must be fixed fast.

Mining is unbearable. I switched to buying Mazacoin directly (especially at those prices).

I just don't understand why a fix date for a fork isn't already on the table?

What is the next step`?

Code isn't written in a day. At least not correct code. Give owlhooter some time to work.

and murraypaul - man....if you just have an axe to grind, please, find some other stone to grind it on. We're all well aware of the mishandling of the issues in the past, and until just recently, it's not been anything that could be easily rectified. I think now there is an opportunity to deal with it, but I don't think just beating old bullshit into the dirt is very useful. If you do, please feel free, but do understand that there is no reason to resopnd to these statements any longer. Move onward.

Either support maza or don't, but get something behind you for actual reasons. If you're pissed about maza for some reason, please let's do something about it rather than just scream and yell about the same point over and over and over and over and over.

there is no time for non-constructive discussion. We've had more than plenty destructive discussion.

Natives kept the pilgrims alive for the settling in their land.  That eventually backfired on them badly.  I want to be part of taking Mazacoin into a brighter future of reparation type work for the travesty of events like Trails of Tears type transplantation onto land that was barren and foreign to the very people who provided so many riches in value greater than just the land in the form of corn, aspirin, care, etc.  Things that are priceless and better than we have hardly or can ever hope to compensate them for.

The damages done to the many nations of native peoples, to me is so much worse than a history of bringing slaves from people who sold their own kind into the service of Europeans, but the balance of recognition that we give at the national level is so much less that it is a shame.  I mean how the fuck can we have a bunch of national holidays for important civil right figures and events, but not recognize as much or more in regards to the nations that sustained so many of our forefathers to the point credit can certainly be given in large part to them for this country even fucking existing!  This is a call to represent the original sovereign nations in their loss of identity and sorrow and take Mazacoin as a chance to offer real value towards a simple revival of a society and economy that was built on the natural order of things here from before our knowledge of its existence is EPIC.

Please organize this movement into a type of concerted vision that those who want to volunteer in any way will have the chance to do that.  I have had my eyes opens by Payu Harris in videos like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AK78RE5Q_s0

I plead with you let us who see things the way I do know how and when we can represent a society to gain a better future than our past can ever hope to claim or be in represent erroneously in stupid pop culture type representations, that miss so much of the toll and hardship that all people faced in face of the powers that be!  Remember Remember the 5th of November!

I so badly wished the logos that are on page 29 and 30 would have been incorporated. I personally feel like almost anything is better than what it is currently.
