1280Mh/s gives me >6% HW errors. I don't know if there is not enough voltage getting through or whether the heat starts to become a problem. I can live with 0.5% dead cores

yeah, we notcied that as well, 1280 is not always the best for every board. you want to manually adjust the frequency of each board and tune it for the best frequency.

Yes that is it exactly. Not aluminium though, steel. And they have the power consumption right too - 360w

I wonder whether the power consumption will go down with a better PSU.
It seems the standard PSU runs at 100% of it's capacity, that's not very good for efficiency.

It should. we have asked the manufacturer to look into replacing current PSU with better one.

Hmm..... mine should finally arrive today. But it looks like I'll have to instruct someone to hook it up if I want it up and running asap.

Someone tell me, the thing has a standard IP adress 1st time you boot it up ? In the 192.168.x.x range?

Yes it will have a sticker on the front with 192.168.1.x on it.

MinerEU - I'm almost ready to order a second one, am I better off waiting for a new hardware revision if any?

innosilicon firmware using 192.168.1.* on the label. minerEU will later repalce it with DHCP and MinerEU firmware on scripta for future dispatches

if you order A2MINI, there is not a lot of production recently. so our stock is up and tight. A2BOX price has dropped, so it is better off ming a few weeks before you get new ones.

i am sure new ones won't start cheap, i might be wrong but i think it is logical guess

So you don't have any more A2 Mini in stock? I can't afford £6000 for an A2BOX yet.

I'm also thinking about a second A2 Mini when the one I'll get today runs fine.
I'd rather have 2 or 3 Mini's instead of an A2 BOX, more flexible and better resellable in the future.

Is there a possibility to get hold of the single blades? And if so, what will they approximately cost?

I've got a strange issue with my a2 mini's. I've got them attached to a watt meter and that tells me they are both using 610W.

I have an early type of smart meter that tells me how much electric I'm using. With the mini's switched off i'm using roughly 1KW - which is my GPU rig running X11 and normal electrical household items. When I switch these on it now tells me i'm using 2.8-3KW. Switch them off and it goes back down to 1KW.

How can this be?

That can be if you got a Dragon 30Mhs miner instead of an A2 mini.... Dragon uses ~1000 watts

It can be a problem with the power meter, a lot of these have problems with switched PSU's.
You need one with true RMS measurement.

I will do a test with the power meter myself later today and see how much exactly it is and report back here.

I'm also getting 40% HW errors with one blade on one A2mini and 15% HW errors on the one blade of the other A2mini since switching to scripta_a2

Not good, loads of HW errors and 4 times the claimed power usage.

40% hardware error seems to indicate you are running @ 1280 frequency. if you installed your scripta on 1st June. you are adviced to install it again to switch back to 1200 freuqency. we notcied 1280 is not working for all .

Regarding power, how do you measure your power?

How do you do this? Getting >6% aswell.

Up and running.

I took the Original Innosillicon image that enables 1280mhz. Both minis are doing 31 Mh/s+ per blade and not that much HW errors.

5s):31.06M (avg):31.09Mh/s (pool):29.34Mh/s | A:1774781 R:0 HW:110 WU:26860.9/m
5s):31.57M (avg):31.30Mh/s (pool):26.12Mh/s | A:230187 R:0 HW:57 WU:23912.0/m

I guess I'm Lucky ?  Roll Eyes
