Downfalls happen every once in a while, we dont make money when price is dropping, its the time we need to risk our chances and get into something and wait. Its the great thing when you buy at bottom, than a way from there can only be up and thats the time for making profit, when price is rising. Now when price is down risk and buy, than wait to start rising again, waiting can pay off. |

I heard in stocks, this is called shorting. But i read if you short, you could lose a huge amount of money. Could you do this with bitcoin? Example my thoughts were hey its the holidays, so most likely ppl will withdraw money and thus btc drops. So i figure around now, btc price would drop.
I can across "shorting" for the first time. I am not that interested towards stock markets so perhaps never came across the synonym "shorting". But it sounds something intresting. Perhaps by calculating the demand, we can assume the profits by selling and buying at approximate time? |

you can buy some good currencies then trade in anytime using trading show the price drop is not a big problem for a trader to do this job and getting profit because you can earn money in the situation very easily. |

The only advantage you can get from falling prices is to buy because you can get coin with cheaper price. but make sure that you wait for the right time to buy. look for the lowest price of the falling price. you can see it from the chart on the market |

If bitcoin price get dropping the only thing to do is buy them at low price and sell them if there any chance to pump even a small amount. Because you can't make profit if the price of bitcoin get dropping always.

It is right that if we buy at lower price, we will have profits but what if the price drops even more than it is now? What if the price reach down $1k again? We should also consider such negative points while we go for trading. Studying the graph of the coin we are investing into is a good idea to understand the markets, market-cap, volume, etc. If you want to invest for more than a year than buying at the current price can be a good source of investment as prices may hike up in the upcoming future. |

Actually I don't like to take this risk with Bitcoin and that's why I didn't try it. I think loss and profits both are possible.

It would definitely be awesome if I had the ability to short Bitcoin (not because I believe Bitcoin is going down, but because I do believe it's not exactly hard to isolate moments of fear w/ Bitcoin. It's literally a news article at this point)
I'm in Canada, unsure if any local exchanges allow shorting here.

yes, having the ability to make money when prices are down is really a useful ability. however, I have tried to do that, but still get a loss. well, I just think that most people who do this, only use the situation to get coins at cheap prices, and sell them when prices really rise. |
