I heard in stocks, this is called shorting.  But i read if you short, you could lose a huge amount of money.  Could you do this with bitcoin?  Example my thoughts were hey its the holidays, so most likely ppl will withdraw money and thus btc drops.  So i figure around now, btc price would drop.

Well, for me, I just try to exploit on some loopholes that I see. For example, if there are good coins that are falling in value at one point but has a good chance of climbing back up some time in the near future, I usually invest in them and buy some good amount of it while the value is low. At least, that way, I could get to have a stack of those coins in preparation for the time when its value increases again. Also, in the market today, don't wait for assets to sky-rocket like how it was before because that's not how it works now. As investor, we have to contain ourselves even to small gains, especially when the market is not doing so great because having little gain is still better than having none.
Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Shorting allows us to make money even in the bearish market but even experienced investors can lose money if the bearish market is not certain. I have observed that usually, price starts floating around a particular price band and that causes losses to the short traders trading with the margins. There are some websites where you can short sell Bitcoins but putting stop loss is a necessity to avoid further losses if things started going in the opposite direction.
Shorting can be very profitable but it is not something that should be tried by those that do not have a lot of experience when they are trading, it is very easy to think that you are going to make money when the price is going down but for what I have seen most of the traders that tried that strategy did not become successful because it is very difficult to predict when the price is going to go down.

Having good technical analysis skill can help us to earn high returns even the market is falling down.  We can know when is the right time to enter and exit in trading if we can analyze and understand the chart.

Yes only by shorting we can earn profit from Bitcoin drop,  and that actually more risky trading because of leverage  but we can minimize  the risk by use low leverage and use stop loss.  But for now that the price already oversold is not good idea to short because Bitcoin has more potential  to rise.

If you plan on shorting anything, consider taking a financial markets class and an economics class online. Otherwise it's a total shot in the dark. Even among the top financial players there's winners and losers.

A tough job for anyone who risk their money in here. It is hard to be profitable at this time and it hardly to analyze the market flows that's everything's seems to be unpredictable one.
The situations makes it favor for just buying and not the way you sell at after.  Hold them and patiently wait for it's hype,  that's the only way i could see to make profits.

There's no point if the price of bitcoin get dropping out ofcourse one thing to do is to hold only and wait until the price getting up again because you can't make profit if the price not increasing.

Yes, shorting is a good solution in all market conditions. Even though the price of BTC is low, it still fluctuates every week. We only need to know how to stop-loss exactly, we will be more secure in trading to make money.
so you need to learn more about stop-loss art on youtube.

when the bitcoin price drops as it is now, the best decision is to buy bitcoin as soon as possible and then hold it back until bitcoin rises again and makes a profit.
but if you don't have the money to buy bitcoin, I suggest that you follow a number of bounties with the aim of making a profit.

Buying when the price dropping it will indeed be practiced by most people who still have high enthusiasm about bitcoin. But I think if you are a trader, then it seems like when the market goes up or down you can still take advantage of the opportunities that exist to generate profits from any fluctuations that happen.
I think, looking for an income from bounties can be done whenever you want and do not have to wait when there is a dropping in the crypto market.

You can generate profits whatever market brings you if you are aware and already gained skills predicting or analyzing the next trend, shorting can be done with high hope that your assessment will bring you to success, but it's also accompanied by risk as there's still unpredicted factors that affects
the current movements.

Even I crypto you can short your bet while your technical analysis says that the market will bearish. Bitmex is one awesome platform that I like to short my bets. You can both long and short your bets. Its easy to use.

You can make money from the price dropping as well. Its not similar to the trading people traditionally do. Its basically a type of gambling to predict the next market movement direction known in a more fancy way called Margin Trading. The biggest thing happening in last year was the emergence of bitcoin futures and people became crazy putting their money in this market of margin trading. Its very risky and not similar to spot trading that we generally do.

I would not suggest people to do Margin trading rather hold your coins for future bullrun if you are willing to exit.

The only thing i know profitable when the market is declined is the buy low sell high type of trading. Sorry but im quite confused about how you make profit while the market is consecutively dropping. Isnt that means more negative on your part? All we want is a green market and that is all we know we can make profit.

actually, while the market for bitcoin was down it doesn't means more negative in the mind of others. Yes it is true when the market is green there is a big chances for us to earn. Moreover, even the market was declined now we can still get profit in it, by simply buying those coins which are cheap by now then hold em. Because for sure it will get increase in the future just be patience for awhile.

I prefer to do trading in stocks markets than doing margin trading in Bitcoin because the risk in spot trading of stocks market is less than margin trading in Bitcoin. I dont want take too much risk in margin trading because more possible lossing money.

Make enough observation with Bitcoin's price. Then if you think the price is acceptable to buy a crypto then go for it. Just make sure that if you will sell it you already gained profits from the money you invested. Do not panic if the price went down. Just wait for the right time to sell it.

Although it is a very difficult process to earn money during the period of decline, which we call the bear period, it is also known as a very lucrative method. On the other hand, earning a profit during the period of bear is quite a success, because it is not something that everyone can do to earn money during the fall period. While individuals who have no experience during the ascension period can also gain profit, only successful investors benefit during the decline period. In short, I would like to mention 'how to make a profit' in this period. More details is up to you now, you can not develop yourself with ready information.

never forget a fundamental difference between SHORT and LONG:
- with a LONG you have 100% potential loss and infinite potential gain
- with a SHORT you have 100% potential loss and a potential profit of 99.99%

it seems a banality to which only a few reflect. This does not want to discourage the short rather than encourage a long, but it's a detail that few people pay attention to.
