It’s safe to say that 2018 was the exact opposite of 2017 as far as the year-over-year cryptocurrency market price changes.

On Dec. 31, 2017, the top ten market capitalizations and the prices of each coin were vastly different than today.

So what's ur story with BTC on 2018?
https://www.reddit.com/r/jex/comments/a9muzd/whats_your_story_on_bitcoin_in_2018_as_2018_will/

I've read some ideas here and thought it was really a good time to do a review when 2018 will pass soon.

Moreover, will Bitcoin totally recover on 2019?
Of course there is the tendency of bitcoin recovering in 2019 which might be triggered by positive decisiont taken by various government agencies, bitcoin is highly volatile its chances of recovery is very obvious and within a twinkle of days its price can reach $10K is all  fundamental conditions favour its.

The market in 2019 has the possibility of recovery, but this is only a possibility. Whether it happens does not depend on anyone's prediction. All the experts who advocate that the Bulls will arrive in 2019 will not care whether it will happen in 2019, I can't give you the exact answer about crypto in 2019, I can only tell you the fact that crypto has experienced more than 4 bull-bear market , and when the bull market will come no one can answer you accurately.

2018 had been terrible for Bitcoin. And for 2019 it is expected to regain its market dominance in the cryptocurrency markets. Bitcoin is certain to make a rebound, according to some crypto experts.
I think that if certain regulations such as consumer confidence, investor protection, transparency, etc will be implemented then high-net-worth individuals and hedge funds together with the institutional investors might come for adoption of Bitcoin subsequently leading to its increase in value. Only then will Bitcoin can redeemed itself.

For me,no one can really predict well what will happen in the year 2019.All i know is that there are lot of chances that a bull run will occur knowing that bitcoin is too much volatile.Maybe tomorrow a bull run may start,no one can tell exactly. But as long as we are still hopeful and stay positive about its recovery soon, then it might be granted in time when we least expect it.

At least "some" part of 2019 is bound to be good, whether that's sideways movement (at least not downward) for a time, or a bit of a recovery.

80%+ is a lot to move without easing up on the pedal a bit - even BitConnect's coin went up after it's immediate decline for a time.

Actually, all we can do is guess, keep hop alive and expect that the best happens. Really, no one can authoritatively say how 2019 is going to be or the price of BTC at a particular time in 2019, it's all speculation and predictions. But overall, alot of people are positive about the next year and that's a good feeling that a recovery is at hand.

This is question that all of us has to find answers to it.  2019 , has been marked as a recovering year and I seriously believe what most of the expect are saying that bitcoin may not do well in 2019 but it is not going to do too bad too.  If you decided to invest now then you should be ready to hold for a very long time and that is you should be ready to hold above 2019. Remember investing is a very risky venture and you should not go into it without adequate investments knowledge.

Unfortunately, no analyst can accurately predict whether bitcoin will grow next year or not. But, given how difficult was 2018, I hope that 2019 will please us at least a partial recovery in prices.

I have heard different opinions on this matter, but most experts, analysts and investors say that bitcoin will recover in 2019. I do not know if this will happen, but I will very much hope that bitcoin will grow.

There will be many factors that will determine if the year 2019 will be good or evil as there are many factors that will determine the stability and hence profitability of the bitcoin and by extension other coins. Some of the factors include but are not limited to the decreasing number of miners, the instability of parallel markets like the oil markets and financial sectors and the general mindset and trend of the investors and interests in crypto. We are hopeful and watching!

I really hope for the best this coming year. Good things will come as mass adoption is getting bigger each day. More tangible projects are being launched by known companies. So I really am optimistic with cryptocurrencies and blockchain projects.

With so much difficulty and failure of bitcoin in 2018, I don't think there might not be any sort of bitcoin recovery in 2019 till the Q2 of the year as the look of things why because bitcoin is just recovering and won't just recover completely so soon like that.

No chance, i predict it will recover in 2022 or 2023 maybe later. It needs time, its always more time between each bubble.
You can learn from history of Bitcoin.

Of course, there is a chance that bitcoin will be able to fully recover in 2019. But I think that full recovery will be by the end of the year. In early 2019, growth will begin, but not rapid. And I hope by the end of the year bitcoin has will set a new record in value.

Anyone that's crying about doom and gloom obviously hasn't been around during the 2014 bear market, 90% drops aren't anything new in these markets.

You are right mate we heard a good year in 2017 with lot of profit .2018 bear market was also fantastic if you continue to trade on a short position you would have accumulated much profit.one thing is sure a trader don't really care about whether is bull or bear run but care about profit. As for 2019 is going to be a tremendous year for crypto to experience upward trend movement, many whales have accumulated much from the dip , just know when to sell a long side with the whales that is what is important.

It may look terrible to many specially those who bought when BTC hit $18,000 USD last December 2017 but to others, there's a lot of opportunities this 2018 that helped them earn more coins. Others took advantage of Bitcoins volatility and those who are hodlers became day traders and day traders shifted to hodlers. It's still a good year for Bitcoin as it gained more media mileage and specially now that countries (government) started to study Cryptocurrencies and look how it can be used to their advantage.

Hard to predict bitcoin price in 2019 because bitcoin very high fluctuating. Maybe bitcoin recover at 2019 or 2020 but we can be so sure when it happen. Better buying bitcoin and forget it for long term, and i am still thinking bitcoin is good long term investment
