I'm going with the Los Angeles Lakers today over the New Orleans Pelicans.  I think when it comes down to it, LeBron is still the best player in the world.  He just has to use his energy wisely.  I think today will be a repeat of their last game and LeBron will dominate.  We'll see...

Sacramento Kings - Golden State Warriors - Golden State Warriors (-1.5) Well, experience-wise, the Warriors might win this again just like what happened last season when they were beaten by the Warriors.

I was tempted to add the Warriors win to this bet because I think have been playing great while the Kings have struggled a bit lately, but the Kings handled them last year and now the Warriors are a year older and the Kings have gotten a year more of experience.  Both of those things go against the Warriors.  So I decided not to bet on the game.  I really think it could go either way and maybe it being a single game instead of a series might favor the Warriors. 

I will also go with the Warriors against the Kings, -2.5 @1.84. I do agree that the Warriors are a aging champion, but they could still have one final push with them. Last chance for CP3 to at least to go another playoff in his career.

And for the Pels against the Lakers, that's unpredictable, and the last time I check on one sport bookies, they were even, meaning, bettors are divided as who will win or the game is very hard to foresee.

The winner of this game will get a playoff visa and will play the Denver Nuggets. The loser will have another chance, playing either the Golden State Warriors or the Sacramento Kings. The winner of the last match between the two teams, LA Lakers, has the psychological advantage and will start the game one step ahead. However, I can say that the New Orleans Pelicans will learn from the defeat and with the support of their fans, they will resist to win this game. The New Orleans Pelicans have a good chance to win this game if they maximize their team defense and stop the Lakers stars. CJ McCollum also needs to maximize his scoring contribution. New Orleans Pelicans will show themselves in this game. I think it will be a fast paced game and we could see high scores like in the last three games between the two teams.

I'm also betting on the same teams (Lakers and Warriors), it's unusual to see the Lakers as a slight underdog, and i'd rather take them to win than bet against them. The Pelicans almost have an even record at home so there's little to no home advantage if you look at it the other way.

Plus, the experience of these two teams is a big factor that could easily decide who gets to qualify since we've seen inexperienced teams crumble in these crucial moments.

I took the Lakers at slightly better odds @1.98x and it was mostly this the better part of the day when I checked the lines closer to tip-off.
Difference is slight but matters when placing bigger sized bet it looks better with that lil bit extra sprinkled on top. Makes that win all that much sweeter too.
The tide did turn as the above user mentioned when Zion Williamson had his 40 points highest on the season and pulled up after the basket asking to be taken out of the game in the last minutes of the game.
He ended up in the locker room and under evaluation last I heard.

I think there are bettors who parlayed the Lakers + Warriors...  These two were favorites to win but it's a fail on the Warriors.

Curry could not carry the team anymore, it used to be Splash Brothers but his bro wasn't playing his best,  or safe to say playing his worst.
yeah, Thompson who is expected to come up big were scoreless, honestly I didn't expect that but I've seen hime on/off in the regular season, it's just too bad the off happened in a do or die game.

I think the Warriors "Die-nasty" is over now.

Damn it! Lost both my bets.

Klay Thompson 0 points? What the f***! Did he sell the game? Steph Curry was 5 points in the first half but he came back in the 2nd half until the Kings were putting a gap against them.

LA Lakers on the other hand showed their strength. Damn Lebron James is like not getting old at all. He may be drinking from the fountain of youth. A bit sad that Zion went out and didn't come back, it could've been a great 3 minutes battle for both monsters.

Anyway, now let's go East.

Philadelphia 76ers - Miami Heat - Miami Heat ML @2.75 - Yes, I am going for the underdog. My instinct is telling me that the Miami Heat will do it again. I hope so. The spreads are high, you can also add a "+" if you think they will not win and end up in a close fight.
Chicago Bulls - Atlanta Hawks - Chicago Bulls (-1.5) - I didn't trust the Bulls during the season but I think I will today especially now that the playoffs are on the line.

The playoffs are officially kicking off today.  Exciting as this is my favorite time of year.  Swimming and good basketball every day.    This first game probably isn't the most exciting of the playoffs, but Miami has a history of coming alive in the playoffs so we'll see.  Personally, I think the Heat haven't been playing well lately while the Philadelphia 76ers have looked excellent since Embiid's return from injury.  So I'm giving them the nod today.  I'm staying away from the Hawks vs Bulls series because I think they've both been playing poorly and I have no idea which way that series will go.

Yeah it's unfortunate because they made a nice run there.  I don't think zion will ever be able to avoid injuries.   The kid is amazing when he is on the court but at his size it just doesn't seem like it can handle the rigors of playing 82 games plus playoffs every year.  Hopefully he will be OK in the play in because I'm rooting for them.

The Warriors still made it close by the end of the first half cutting the lead from a double-digit down to four points, but the Kings got back in the driver's seat once the third quarter started. It's rare to see Klay lose his rhythm and I guess the Kings got to him since they're so active on both ends.

I'm locking my bet on the Sixers' handicap, this would be one of the few times I have to fade the Heat because i'd always put the Sixers on a higher level if they have Embiid.

Today I was really looking forward for the win of Heat as they are good to handle Sixers in this game but sadly again fail to do things on right time now as I check scorecard feeling bad with Heat is leading by 12 points at the end of the half-time which is impressive from them and now look like they are going to hold this all for the rest of the game as well.
After the end of the first quarter Heat were leading 22 to 23 and at the end of the second quarter they have 17 to 28 total 39 to 51.

The Lakers pick was so easy, I didn't even sweat watching the game although it was close at some point. But man, the Warriors vs Kings, that was a big disappoinment and I believe that the Warriors are done, they need to rebuild.

Moving on the coming games, there will be a one day rest before that but I have my early picks.

I'm on the same page, I always trust the Miami heat, so I thought they could win and was confident after the first half. But the home team aren't going anywhere, they were playing great especially Batum who had an outstanding game on both ends. That 3 point shots of Batum could have hurt the momentum of the Miami Heat, so I'd say he was a good pick up for the team.

Embiid obviously is not 100% yet, but he contributed when it matters most, so as he stay playing for the team, he will get healthier and will eventually back to his old-self.

That's a very tough assignment for the Miami Heat but they have done this before, so this is like a rematch of the last season's play-in. FYI, Miami won that battle and goes up to the Finals, they have an unbelievable run that time, let's see if they can copy that and it should start by beating the Bulls.

Philadelphia 76ers - Miami Heat - Miami Heat ML @2.75 Loss! - What a mess! Miami had the lead and a big one in the first half. But Embiid, oh damn Embiid. Then Batum, well, he is known for his great defensive plays and he did it again this time to help the 76ers win! A wild ending, a must-watch! Butler, I think he didn't touch the ball for the last three minutes of the game.
Chicago Bulls - Atlanta Hawks - Chicago Bulls (-1.5) Win! Defense is what made this team win and I love watching them when they do that. Sure, they have one of the best offensive weapons in DeRozan but they cannot just rely on that, defense is what makes them win games.


Won the over parlay! Yey! I don't know, it's just instincts maybe.
Tomorrow are the final games in the play-in tournament. Any predictions? The odds are not far. There are no super favorites so it's going to be hard to predict the winner.

What happened last year to Miami Heat in their playoff run seems unlikely to happen again, especially if they'll face the Celtics in the first round. If they were play against the Bucks again in 1st round it might be possible since the Bucks seems shaky now. But if the Heat make it to the playoffs in the first round and beat the Celtics what happened last season could happen again. Because I think if they can beat the Celtics it'll be easy for them to defeat the teams in Semi and Conference Finals.
