Liking the Spurs' +5.5 to cover this one as well as I think the Spurs can make this a close game similar to their last meeting a few weeks ago but at the same time the Pelicans could easily win by double digits if they suddenly make most of their shots and their free throws. The Pelicans are slightly worse than the Spurs when it comes to covering spreads but that probably doesn't matter when anything goes here in the playoffs. Also currently on a horrendous losing streak and hopefully I don't curse the spread and we'll see a much more competitive and close scoreline.

Sorry guys Spurs did not cover it. They had a good run in the last quarter but the Pelicans stopped them. JV is dominating the paint and there are many fouls that were not called. It's like they are using the playoffs rule already with no calls by just simple bumps.
1/2 for me as I thought the Spurs could win too but I am happy as I saw Pops smiling even if they are on a large deficit. I guess he is just satisfied with how the young guys are being competitive.

Hawks covered, by a lot.  Cheesy Cheers to the winners.

Yes, Pop is happy with how those young cores are playing the game. He's satisfied even they didn't win the game.

It's just simply appreciating the hard work that those guys are trying to provide, competing with much matured players and
still closing the gaps.

Not bad for Spurs believers, almost, but that's how the game is played, the outcome is unknown till
the last buzzer..

On that note, Hawks played tough and Hornets can't deal with it after the first half, it's all on the hawks side
they played well and win the game with a huge deficit.

Congrats to all the winners!  Wink

It was really another sad lost for the Clippers and it seems that Paul George can't really get over during play-in or play-off. He has a good performance tonight, but it wasn't enough for the tough Wolves at home.

And most of us thinks that a +3.5 for the Clippers is a good bet and not a trap, but majority of us are wrong. The Clippers have the experienced but the Wolves has more heart in the game.

The Minnesota Timberwolves were playing a team play, with Anthony Edwards firing those three's while the Los Angeles Clippers were relying too much on Paul George, but I can say the Clippers have done a great job but it was not enough the game was a close match, but the Timberwolves have a team play formidable for the quarter-finals, and just like many have said Anthony Edwards could be a weakness for the Clippers and this game has proven that a fact, the Clippers next opponent would be the Pelicans that could be their chance in winning.

I really thought that the Clippers were going to get the spot because I've watched the game in the first half and they even managed to dominate the Timberwolves in the first 3 quarters but I was shocked when I saw the result that the Timberwolves have won, yes they over relied to Paul George to carry the team whereas the Timberwolves have shared the ball.

This goes to show that basketball is not just a 1 man army but the team must rely on each other's strengths and weaknesses, that is why this is a good example I have seen a game where 1 to 2 players were scoring 30 points to 40 but had lost to teams that have to scatter their score to the whole team, sometimes all players have 2 digits on their score that could win the game, the Clipper will be playing against the Pelicans next so I think they will manage a win this time.

It's understable the Spurs loss because Pelicans is indeed strong. I'm disappointed on Hornets and Hawks match because they are supposed to have a close match yet Hawks massacre them without any mercy all through out the game. I thought my +20.5 is already sufficient to cover Hornets but they never show any sign of recovery even on last quarter. Next time I will not rely on the standing and focus on the momentum of the team.

You can see how experienced the Hawks are, although they are not that strong this season when they are in playoffs, they showed who they are. Remember that they reached the East Semi-Finals last season, so that experience really did help them to be better this playoffs.

It's still a play-in though as they are going to play the Cavaliers, but I believe they'll win even on the road.

Speaking of the Spurs, I wasn't excited watching them because they let CJ and Brandon scored easily, though they have their run, but it's too late already.

True, Trae Young alone was too much for them, he was doing everything and no one can guard him.

Yes, it seems that the Cavs have lost the momentum already in this play in. Trae is ice cold specially on the road, remember their series with the Knicks last year?

Spurs was a good team in the road, but at I guess this play-in is very different for the young team.

Spurs was a good team in the road, but at I guess this play-in is very different for the young team.

As you can see on the roster of the Pelicans, they have many star players that perform well during the playoffs.

CJ was really a big help for the Pelicans, he is Ballin and he showed what he can do more in his current team that he cannot do everything with Lillard playing as the main man of the team. I think they'll be a great championship contender once Zion will come back, probably next season.

I managed to hit all 3 of my bets yesterday. Cavs with the spread. Nets to win outright. Then a multi-bet with the Nets and Wolves winning. I’m not sure who I’ll take today. Maybe the Hornets with the spread and the Pelicans to win outright. I feel pretty good about the Pelicans being able to beat the Spurs, but the Hornets game could really go either way in my opinion. I feel like the Hornets have a pretty good chance to cover the spread though as long as their young guys don’t choke under pressure. I don’t think they will.
Cheers to you then. I didn't win anything at all at those games. Got to get it back now.
I believe the Spurs could win this against the Pelicans. They are struggling and it was the McCollum trade that made it possible for them to enter the play-in. Spurs on the other hand had won 3 of their 4 meeting against this team. Ingram's status is out but noted as probable.
Spurs +5.5

On the other side, I am betting for the Atlanta Hawks -5.5. Good luck to all.

Atlanta Hawks was a cool bet for us, as if we have seen that they can cover the spread and that's what they did and have some for spare.

But for the Spurs, it was a complete disaster, as they allowed the Pelicans to take a commanding lead and trying to play catch up is very hard specially if you are away from home.

That was too easy for the Hawks, they dominated the whole game and if you bet on them, you won't feel the thrill while watching because you already know your bet will win, that's what you called "easy money". Anyway, they'll be up next against the Cavaliers, I think they'll still dominate seeing how the Nets dominated the Cavaliers too.

Spurs knows how to come back but does not know how to win.  Smiley

This is what I meant because regular games is really different compared to the pressure of play-in and playing in the playoffs and the Hawks have already that experience so it's quite easy for them to dominate the young Hornets. Against the Cleveland Cavs, I'm still going with the Hawks.

Yeah, it was on the last quarter when they had it but it was already too late because the Pelicans already buried them much early.

Experienced might be the big difference between Cavs and Hawks, but if Cavs will play the same type of energy

they've shown that last game against the Nets, the chance is also good for them, both teams do have firepower and if
those players will show their best. It can be a close match to watch out.

I'll be going to watch it during the live game and see if there's a good odd to bet, otherwise, maybe watching and enjoying
the game instead.

they've shown that last game against the Nets, the chance is also good for them, both teams do have firepower and if
those players will show their best. It can be a close match to watch out.

I'll be going to watch it during the live game and see if there's a good odd to bet, otherwise, maybe watching and enjoying
the game instead.

So what team do you think will win the game? If you are betting on the Hawks and they'll dominate the Cavaliers in the game, you might miss the opportunity to also win your bet, so better place it early if you don't want to miss that opportunity to win.  Grin

Both of them have that experience but the Cavaliers have more of it than the latter but I don't doubt that these Hawks can still overpower the Cavs even if they can maintain their performance last time against the Nets, but the thing now is both teams are desperate to get the seat so yes this might be a close game to see. About the betting, I will also bet on the live game and watch for some tasty odds.

Now we are about to witness a match between the losing team vs the winning team this time, and my picks are highlighted in green,

Cleveland Cavaliers VS Atlanta Hawks

Right now the lost team against the Nets the Cavaliers is facing the team that won over the Hornets the Hawks, stake odds are 2.19 for the Cavaliers while 1.71 for the Hawks right now Jarrett Allen is questionable if he can play for the Cavaliers while Chaundee Brown Jr., John Collins, and Lou Williams are questionable if they can win against the Cavaliers, likely favorite team to win is the Hawks, and this I think because the Hawks have beaten the Cavaliers in their last game and it was a very agonizing defeat for the Cavaliers because from start to finish the game was a one-sided one, so likely the Atlanta Hawks can win this my picks will go with the Hawks.

Los Angeles Clippers VS New Orleans Pelicans

Right now the losing team Clippers against the Timberwolves is facing against the team the Pelicans that won against the Spurs, Stake odds are 1.59 for the Clippers while 2.43 for the Pelicans, right now Jason Preston, and Kawhi Leonard can not play for the Clippers while Luke Kennard is questionable, and Zion Williamson can not play for the Pelicans, even though the Pelicans have won against the Spurs it is highly unlikely they will be winning against the Clippers, the Los Angeles Clipper have a close match against the Timberwolves and I think Paul George will likely to do against what he's done against the Timberwolves, so my pick will be the Clippers, and the last match against the Pelicans was a tremendous loss for the Pelicans with 19 points lead for the Clippers.

It will be PG vs CJ.. They have faced each other already in the playoffs before but on a different team, the time CJ was with Blazers while PG was with the OKC. Now with different teams, let's see which team will advance in the playoffs, Clippers have the edge because of the home-court advantage, but it should not be an easy task for them to see how the Pelicans are playing with great chemistry.

Adjustment is necessary, PG is a good scorer but they should not rely heavily on him, ball movement is still very important as this Clippers team are full of talent that could contribute anytime.

Spurs knows how to come back but does not know how to win.  Smiley
Young team. Not really a big deal for Pops. I think he was satisfied they still entered the play-in and beat the other team in rankings. You know, The Veterans.  Cheesy
You can see how experienced the Hawks are, although they are not that strong this season when they are in playoffs, they showed who they are. Remember that they reached the East Semi-Finals last season, so that experience really did help them to be better this playoffs.
Correct. Composure. Experience does help in this type of situation and I think Trae Young has the drive to put them back on the map. He had been saying that before the season ended, it's now time to prove they can if they beat the Cavs. That team is not as weak as the Hornets and they have powerful players who can change the pace of the game. It will be an entertaining night.

1-day rest, then we are back.

Like last year, Atlanta Hawks did a surprise again and no one even expected they will reach the Semis. But we should not take their recent win as a big deal because Hornets are not that really a threat right from the beginning. They are far even more worst than the Cleveland Cavaliers. This team is also unexpected to rise the ladder this season. They always end up not reaching the playoffs but with their current roster, they might have the chance to beat the Atlanta Hawks.

On a contrary, I will go with the Cavaliers here and expect goods for them as an underdog.

It's obvious that the Spurs team is very young, and doesn't have any playoff or play-in experience under their belt, they have to earn it the hard way by facing it right now. Hawks on the other hand was too much, but against the Cavs, I don't see any big game leads, but still the Hawks are going to end the winner against the Cavs in the next game, -2.5.

I also like the chances of the Cavaliers against the Hawks. They have a good size advantage and hopefully they will not let the Hawks takes an early lead just like they did on the Nets game.

Just make it close or even they themselves take a good lead at their home court. And if the pattern holds true, (home team wins), then they have a good chance against the streaking Hawks.

I will stick with the pattern, and yes I like the Cavaliers here because they are playing at home. Bookies understands their chances that's why they are only +2 now, hopefully they'll not panic in this play-in due to lack of experience.
