The spirit of Satoshi has reembodied in the form of a time-traveling Canadian developer now working on Goldcoin (GLD).

Always prefer using escrow while selling or buying anything from anyone its a good way to protect both buyer and seller. Also never leave you coins online not even in blockchain and definitely not with any of the exchanges.Stay away from the fancy magical deals and investment programs especially when a brand new user or user with very less post count post that and even if you can't stop yourself throwing in it always make it your first step to see the people posting feedbacks on it.

If you aren't the sole controller of your private keys, you don't have any bitcoins.
Don't trust third parties.
Holliday beat me to it. "If you don't hold it, you don't own it." as a wise old Cuban once told me (and is common damn sense anyway). Do not trust people at bus stops with suitcases full of cash, and don't trust your bitcoins to other entities online (or offline, for that matter), at least without having an understanding that there is a good probability that they could be lost and unavailable to you at any given time. Use common sense.

Buy a TREZOR! Premier BTC hardware wallet. If you're reading this, you should probably buy one if you don't already have one. You'll thank me later.

Don't trust third parties.
Right... as I always say. Avoiding throwing parties to celebrate any unrealized paper gains or bank account gains that aren't protected from counterparty risk. 2 parties a year should be good enough for anyone. Suggest celebrating birthdays and Christmas. On the third party, you never know what riff-raff might be hiding behind the scenes to crash it.

That's terrific wisdom! Why? Because other people will get involved sooner or later. And the longer it takes, the more time we have to save up more fiat to buy more bitcoins before they go to $10,000 or $100,000.

And the longer it takes, the more time we have to save up more fiat to buy more bitcoins before they go to $10,000 or $100,000. No, that's greedy. I say it more because people resent things they can't understand. Nobody likes the idea that there's somebody making millions for nothing while they are lost, running the track of a normal life. Also people by-and-large won't get it. Hell, tons of people involved don't even get it. Perhaps the majority. Think of it as a hobby, unless you're exceptionally lucky you probably won't make a million in a year. Good Luck.

Also people by-and-large won't get it. Hell, tons of people involved don't even get it. Perhaps the majority. Think of it as a hobby, unless you're exceptionally lucky you probably won't make a million in a year. Good Luck. That's part of the reason that Satoshi developed Bitcoin. He resented the bankers, and he DID understand how and why the system works. Average folks resent things more, as you say, because they don't understand. That doesn't mean they try to do anything about it. Rather, they complain to their buddies at work, and go on being poor. There are a few, however, who DO improve themselves. When Bitcoin becomes the norm, and fiat fails, then those folks will get on board. But by then you and I will be extremely wealthy. So, let's not talk about it except among ourselves. Let's save up bitcoins for those few favored friends and family who won't do it for themselves.
