It's impossible to exactly now the bottom, just see the market regularly and try to make profits from it. Anyway, I wouldn't call both of them worthless bullshit, it's too emotional. If you look from the beginning, we're still on profits (Bitcoin start from $0 and now it's worth $3,000). It's just a matter of perspective. Don't try to catch a falling knife or a train, trade wisely. Easier said than done, but it's the golden rule.

No, the bottomed already happened last year, it will be a different game this year.
All I see is just green light and the bulls making it rain another big investment in the crypto market.

Just because its a new year doesn't mean that it will completely reverse the entire bear market of 2018.

We need it to keep closing higher and higher and make newer daily highs and newer daily higher lows. So if $3100 breaks , then its not looking good but if we can close above the $4200-$4400, then we might get into the $5000-$6000 region which has tons of resistance.

I'm sorry but it's really hard to say if we already hit the bottom already specially Bitcoin. Although I may believed that we have bottom already because the price dip at a astonishing 80%-90% ( based on the their last all-time-high). If you will go around the forum though, you will see that others predicted that Bitcoin might still go below the $3000 level. It's a bit scary to see that price, but look at the bright side and take advantage of this opportunity to accumulate more and adjust your investing plan as we go along.

For BTC, I'll be sticking with $2500, and anything lower than that is a total catastrophe. We now see that Bakkt has reached its initial funding stage goal, though the federal government shutdown of US might affect its launch date, and would, once again be postponed until god knows when. This might severely affect any pushes done by the bulls during the first quarter of the year, and can once again be a proving ground of who controls the market for the rest of the year, and could eventually lead to capitulation and the bottoming of the price for bitcoin.

Bitcoin will hit as low as $3400 or so at worst, I doubt it will go any lower but this is bitcoin and it will do whatever it wants so we can't really guarantee anything, who knows maybe it will go lower maybe this is the lowest it will go, but I just "assume" it won't go lower than $3400.

Ethereum on the other hand has a huge increase up ahead, with the new hard fork people will want to be part of the new stake family and will want to buy and keep making eth for a long time, the ICO owners that receive ETH for their tokens will keep their coins and stake as much as they can so all that combined ETH will probably no go below 120 ever again, probably 130 is a good number. These are all of course made up numbers, I do not have any reason why I said these numbers aside from gut feeling, I have no proof to back any of this up.

I think both ETH and BTC have already touched bottoms of this downtrend, now market may move upward slowly. I do not find any reason for both these cryptos to go further down if I consider both technical as well as sentimental analysis. Hard to figure out where the exact bottom is especially if Bitcoin is always correcting itself to a new consolidation level from 10k to 8k to 6k and now to the 3,000$ level it only means Bitcoin is still finding its footing in and other cryptocurrencies are following it as well. For ETH I think it has found the bottom already at around $80-$90. As you can see now, it has retaken the 2nd spot in the marketcap so 90% the bottom has been touched. Also, charts aren't so valuable for predictions. Their value lies in informing you when reversals and breakouts are occurring and when trends are continuing or ending. Successful traders are using charts to react to changing conditions, not to predict the future.

Most people misuse TA and screw up a few trades, then spend years calling it a scam. To boot, markets are unpredictable so good traders should only be expect to be correct 50% or 60% of the time. Maximizing profits is therefore more about risk management than being correct.

I think BTC is the one to watch. BTC pulls the whole market with it, and I think when BTC starts to rise then alts will follow shortly afterwards. So ETH bottom price I think is not just dependent on ETH - it will probably keep falling until BTC starts to rise.

you guys werent alone as i also thought that  . i thought last year was the lowest and this year was the recovery but i was wrong . infact 2019 ( this year ) was much morst than the previous year but this is not the end of the crypto world  .  sooner or later their value can still recover and grow as long as the etf , bakkt and other agreements  were finally approved  .

this year I didn't expect much of the cryptocurrency price to recover quickly,

no man , the price didnt recover quickly but instead the price did drop more pretty quick .

I think getting a green candle every month is enough

yeah buddy, many of my friends thought last year was the lowest price of all crypto asset prices, and this year I didn't expect much of the cryptocurrency price to recover quickly, I think getting a green candle every month is enough

As long as we could make a profit in these situations, I think it will be fair enough for us to still trying. The green candle will appear in every day, but of course, we will see the red candle changing in many times. But we don't have to be afraid from the red candle because it will not stay forever and the green candle will come again. I don't have any prediction on where is the bottom on the market for those coins because I only believe that when the time comes, everything will come back to normal and we could make a profit again.

The declining trends are very noticeable to us but it will never give a reason to leave from here. I only left crypto space once btc value become zero but I've never that it will happen easily.

I may assume we did not see the bottom yet, but it could be, as we did though, hard to predict. Even what will happen when btc from MT Gox will be released, if it will, the market may just crash heavily in hours.

$3000 still looks like a key support level for Bitcoin. We're all just guessing, but I suspect BTC will fall to around $3000 and then bounce back strongly, which should hopefully lead to the start of a recovery and a new bull run. ETH I don't think is that relevant, it should just fall slightly along with everything else until BTC hits $3000.

Totally agree with you. It's just useless to predict something that is being suddenly pumped by those chinese propably farmers at 3.500, staying there for a few days and then getting dumbed down again to buy or whatever. Totally agree we should not even try to predict anymore.
