The biggest trigger that will push the market to the next bull run is going to be an economic collapse of an economy that directly affects the global indices. If an economy will be in trouble, then the citizens of this country will probably turn to Bitcoin in order to avoid inflationary trends. That number won’t make the price of Bitcoin or any cryptocurrency at all to go up. I’m betting on the number two and the number three, cause that’s definitely what everyone is waiting for and once they are approved, you will see that the price will begin to go up immediately.

Lots of sources has claimed that ETF is likely to be approved this year, and I’m hoping that will be true, cause if it happens, you will see the price of Bitcoin going up really fast.

None of the factors your mentioned will be a catalyst for a new big bull run.You should search for the "crypto catalyst" somewhere else.Security tokens won't pump BTC,they will pump the altcoins.Bakkt won't benefit the crypto world,because it's the same as btc futures.SEC won't approve the ETF anyway,so it's pointless to discuss this.

ETF applications got extended last time which is a good sign that they are taking it seriously. Perhaps they were checking the volatility of the price, which sadly went downhill proving that bitcoin is indeed volatile

A security token is a utility token created by the ICO ecosystem and is built using the ERC-20 whose plan will function as a method of providing incentives/prizes for its platform customers. That's according to their side.

For me, BAKKT and ETF are almost the same as CME and CBOE, both are only vehicles or robots, which will eventually be controlled by big whales and leave severe damage afterward. For a moment (for example, when they got permission from the SEC) maybe both of them will make the price of bitcoin go up, but then they will leave deeper and longer damage like that that happened in 2018.

SEC gives their comment after every rejection so most likely the next application will be improve and they add things that are necessary to get approved.

These events will attract a lot of crypto investors if pushes through and the whole market will recover again. SEC approval of bitcoin ETF is still uncertain after many postponements because of price manipulations and other security reasons. But it still unclear if these events will start another like what happened in 2017.

Hey you seemed to have missed out on Nasdaq Bitcoins Futures which is confirmed to be launched on 24th January 2019, I feel people should consider it as an important event. As for Bakkt is concerned there have been many delays, and yet there's no official approval in sight, however once it's approved we shall definitely see its effect on the prices. It's pertinent to note that the Sec verdict on Bitcoins Etf is scheduled for February 2019 end, and there's just a slim chance of it being approved, and if it's approved it's surely will boost bitcoins prices upwards.

Don't forget that ETF only works as a "betting" system as far as I know, which means those billions or trillions of dollars won't be coming directly into bitcoin and buy it, it will be more like "I bet 10 dollars bitcoin will go up" instead of "I want to buy 10 dollars worth of bitcoin".

I could be wrong but thats what I read on this forum and if thats the case even tough it would create a huge hype and people would be really happy about it and even price would go up because of all those things, it actually wouldn't have a sudden reason to keep it high and get billions of dollars into it making it skyrocket to some place.

Don't get me wrong it is a great thing for all of us and I would be thrilled about it, I just want to get this misunderstanding of billions of dollars put into bitcoin thing.

Launching of bitcoin platform in Bakkt is more realistic unlike SEC approval of bitcoin ETF at least the former will definitely make an impact towards having a bullish runs while the latter might likely be postponed again however I am quite optimistic this year the market sentiment will be bullish having consolidated for a very long period.

These are great weapon to increase the price, although some of them will lead to the more centralised things, but for now we need to make the bull run so the investors could gain trust and it could bring positive trend for the growth, hopefully everything could work smoothly and we can see the bitcoin keep on rising

There a lot of triggers that can help to get a new bitcoin bull run (bitcoin ETF, ...) but there are also a lot of triggers that can create another huge drop of the BTC price (ongoing MT Gox situation,...)

I am not fully aware of what security token ecosystem will be doing with bitcoin markets. But, I believe just any one of positive news will be more than enough to have another strong bull run. I believe there are many possibility of a big crypto related event to happen this year that may be approval of bitcoin ETF or launch and success of bakkt. But, I believe as of now we just need any one positive news and that will be more than enough to stir up the bulls.

2 and 3 is what we are hoping to start kicking for this 1st quarter. And if it does, we'll see the effect through prices which we have been waiting to have a very good start for this year.

Bakkt is fine and will launch it soon, as per reports they raised $182 million which is a good start up amount. It will go up later on and as for the bitcoin etf approval, it depends on SEC but they have rejected it many times before. We may not know if there's a positive reason why they keep on delaying it from the past but this February it was said that no more delays.
