This subject has been discussed before and I think it's already clear that poker is a game of skills and luck is just a small part of it. To become better basically in anything you need to practice a lot of time and I'm not talking here about a couple of hours a day for a month and you become a pro after that. It takes years and thousands of matches played to learn the strategies and the techniques to read people faces. Of course it would be helpful to have a mentor/coach that has already achieved what you are trying to achieve so that he could teach you a few tricks and offer you tips for plying better.

Luck is still a big part of it like in any other game. Skills are more important when you play live at the table but not so much when you have to read the hand of an AI.
What will happen if you enter with enough money to play 10 rounds and 10 out of 10 you will get much weaker hands than your opponents? You can keep folding but every time you lose some money. You can't sit at the table forever watching the cards until you get lucky. Every round costs you money.

No, I disagree. Playing poker is all about skills or let's just rate on this, skills are 75% and luck is 25%. Poker for me is base on skills the longer you have been played of course you can familiarize which card you are going to hold. If you are expertly analyzing on cards you have a high chance of winning because that is not like dice gambling or roulette that 100% base on luck.

    In my own opinion, the consistency of winning player on gambling games is their skills. Why?, because the longer they played the game they learned the strategyon how to win that game. Exactly, I also like poker because it is not a luck-based game but yes it is your luck which cards do you get in the beginning. Later you have to apply your strategies and can win only with that otherwise you will not win any game even if you are playing longer or not. Yeah, if you think luck plays a bigger part in poker, then clearly you don't play poker lol. I consider it more of a sport than a gambling game that relies mostly on being lucky. Poker players very seldom hope for a good hand and try to make strategies out of whatever hand they get. Try watching professional poker games.
