Overstock was one of the first retailers to accept bitcoin so it is fitting that they are the first ones to pay their taxes in it too. After this, others will certainly follow. Especially ones that operate in Ohio

Basically another Hodler (overstock.com) getting out of BTC.

They're not getting out of BTC, if that's the case here they should stop accepting BTC payments. From what i've experienced merchants and companies that accept BTC convert all of the BTC that they receive.through an exchange to minimize the risk. You can't blame them for moving their BTC since it's meant to be spent and not hold in the first place.

It is indeed a revolution. But how will they cope up with the excess gains and losses?

I checked their site and it's mentioned on the how it works page that they will be using Bitpay.

this is good news in my opinion. because bitcoin has been implemented within the company. so despite the decline that occurred in bitcoin. but bitcoin is still applied to the company. therefore we don't just give up and we don't panic at the prices that are currently happening. because the rise of bitcoin will certainly occur.

When more companies start to do transaction using bitcoin then its a great things that maybe could lead to another adoption, but it won't automatically make the countries accepting bitcoin, the government still can make the decision to regulate or ban after some trial, but if bitcoin could be implemented in some sectors then its a great thing, it show that bitcoin still got the potential

You can see the market will be in green just a few days and the market will go down again.
Investors are still holding back the coins they have and currently, there are still those who sell coins like Bitcoin and ethereum at low prices, I don't understand why they sell them, but they have good decisions to increase trading volume. I'm sure bitcoin will come back, but not for now, bitcoin takes a lot of time to get green again, and all of them are waiting for it

the government is not really accepting bitcoin on a large scale. i have only heard about some rare cases like one state doing this. and then it is a matter of who is willing to take that chance and pay with bitcoin!
so in the end you will see that the total amount received through bitcoin isn't that much. and who is to say what they will do with it. maybe they liquidate it right away through a service like Bitpay with some contract or something.

New startup projects prefer to accept payment via fast,smooth payment methods. Let's apply current cryptocurrencies to this purpose and whole image will be different than previous. BTC is not perfect for known advantages of crypto like fast, less comission, transactions per second.

Well i think that the more companies pay their own fees in the BTC the more BTC will be seen as a more efficient payment method and i hope that more and more companies will adopt this way to pay their taxes.Maybe in that way the government and banks will accept more easily BTC , but i'm not so sure about this.

For me this is one of th best innovation for cryptocurrency that US companies are paying taxes using bitcoin,when i know that Arizona state is now accepting bitcoin

Every trader expect the same, uptrend is what we looking for no matter what happen.

Well bitcoin is being adopted by so many companies in recent time but the fact is bitcoin still need more adoption that will bring it to lime light cause their are still millions of companies that are not recognizing bitcoin and if they does it will be a great revolution to the entire world payment system.

As a developed and large country, when there is an American company that accepts Bitcoin as a means of payment, it is a very good progress. more and more countries, especially developing countries, will begin to see this as good progress, hopefully more and more companies globally implement the same
