I guess quitting suddenly may cause depression, restlessness and other similar symptoms.
Probably you felt this way because no one helps you out from being a gambling addict, I mean your family should do action regarding this if they know. Because quitting is not easy for the gambling addicts, it makes a daily habit that always looking for. Rehabilitation is a good idea if someone can't quit in gambling or probably he/she need serious attention that someone to help and switch to other habit and forget that you want to quit. (overall it's a self-moderation)

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

actually the hardest challenge when going to change a bad activity is to fight the ego and lust for yourself because of addiction or being a sign addict someone can not hold back his lust.
If this addiction is about gambling then it is not bad thing because people use to gamble to earn money, and earning money is not bad at all, the more we gamble the more w e get involve, quitting is not good if you will keep gambling you will learn more and will improve your gambling skills, with passage of time you will increase earning.

Finally, I have seen a unique feedback, and that's quite amusing to see... Gambling Addiction isn't bad? Oh really, even if it does affect your lifestyle and family? I really don't think so, unless you're a multi-millionaire, but it still doesn't warrant that you wont get affected by negativities.

Earning isn't bad unless it was from a bad habit and activity tgat seems to be unethical. Gambling addiction is one, the minds that says it wasnt bad after all, re those who're simply addicted to it. And now I'm guessing you're one of it.

Quitting after getting addicted is quite the best solution to overcome the habit, and once you have it on a success, then congrats you're already controlling yourself and you can avoid getting addicted.

We must also remember that we as the gamblers are more likely to be affected mentally then by those who dont gamble
There are many unfortunate endings for people who can not control this addiction of 'problem gambling'.

Well, up to that point I find it interesting on why this gamblers can't handle their own stress and ends up taking up suicidal attempts. Just because of some loss? Is it really worth dying for?

Edit:
Just have it in mind, even if you're a billionaire and went bankcrupt, I don't think its necessary to do such thing besides, you can just start all over again.

No one would think of ending their life, but because they cannot handle the stress in gambling, sometimes it resulted to suicide.
It's the worst ending that would happen as gambler, that's why some people judge gambling as a bad activity that is a waste of money and time only, but I could disagree with that since I believe gambling is very entertaining if you will stay in control and have that discipline in you every time you play.

Yeah money is only money . you cant bring your money on to your grave once you died . life or health is still more important and should be prioritize so that you can live longer and you can still earn more money in the long run  . those who commite suicide are i think depressed with thier loss but if your only playing for fun and you dont mind lossing , this thing wont never happen to you  .

Quitting is easy if you want to achieve something, but never easy if you want to stop doing what you always do and what you always wanted to do. This is what you called addiction, and we all know that its really hard to over come. Is this the end? Is there any cure?
Quitting will be possible only when a gambler decides by heart and not just by world. Deviating our focus into something else may help for most of the gamblers but finding another new interesting thing will be a difficult one practically. This is the reason many times entering to married life or falling in love kind of things helping gamblers to quit easily.

Human mind is capable of adopting anything new but it should be attractive enough. Addicted people must need true affection and care so that they will be able to deviate their focus into something new. Help from family and friends definitely will bring changes in an addicted gambler's life.

I agree, the need to quit should come from the gamblers self because if they will not accept it by heart then all the advise and scolding will be useless. I know a lot of gamblers would say it is very hard and they can't control themselves but I think if the gambler really want to quit then he will do everything to achieve it.

No matter how hard, if the gamblers want to quit gambling, he needs to have a strong mind, and he needs to try very hard to quit. We know that to prevent us from playing gambling will be difficult, but we need to try at least, we can ask help from other people, so we don't have to feel that is too hard to quit.

Perhaps, the first thing that they need to learn is controlling their mind and themselves so they can learn to reduce their time for playing gambling. Soon, if they continue that, I am sure that they can stay away from gambling forever.

Quitting is easy if you want to achieve something, but never easy if you want to stop doing what you always do and what you always wanted to do. This is what you called addiction, and we all know that its really hard to over come. Is this the end? Is there any cure? Let me help you.

1.) if you really want to quit, you should WANT it. You should be serious about it and not play around. Most people failed to change because they didnt take quitting seriously.

2.) Have a stone hard mindset. Picture yourself to the person you want to be. The old person who doesnt need that things in order to be happy. Always think about the future results you will become.

3.) Be faithful on what you are doing. Cheating is not an option. Dont be fooled on peer pressure or the callings of slot machine. Learn how to have self dicipline. Focus on your goal and have a blindfold if needed.

4.) If you already strengthen your inner self, the next steps is already easy for you. You see, yourself is the best enemy you have and we should start changing you by the way you think. Next is, have other things to do that can make you busy. Start trading or having new business. You will soon realize that the essense of the money you lost in gambling.

5.) never to try it again. People are also malleable in nature and even you didnt do it for years, once you tasted it again, you will turn back to the same addict person you want to get rid of. We have a deep caravings for it psychologically or what you called cravings by our subconscious minds that once triggered, can never be stopped.

Lastly, give me merits if this tips help you. Nah. Just kidding. I just want to write a book someday and i need some inspiration. Gambling is fun though.

These are just advice it has no bearing at all, gamblers play with their emotion and feeling and if you tell the gamble, not to gambler they will answer back, oh really you have no business with my business, you should advise people around him what to do and not advice gambler they will just ignore.

Gradual quitting is the only option of quitting for addicted gamblers. If they quit right away their mind is preoccupied with gambling all the time, although it may look like they are preoccupied with other things. Such people break sooner or later, and their new addiction may be even more severe than the previous one. To avoid such an outcome, I always suggest to never quit, or, for people who still want to quit completely, to do it very slowly, stretching the process for two years or longer.

What a unique principle about gambling addictions, I don't have anything to say about it as it's your own interpretation of this addiction, everything will depends on how people can take the system without harming your mental capabilities.

You will forget easier and earlier if you will focus on other things like sports or any activities that involves physical involvement and doesnt have any bets or gambling related. Its really easy to tell but if you put yourself on an addict's shoe then it feels like its impossible. Just strengthen your will and emotions and let your changes hobby do the work.

Want to quit? Just do it! People are talking about quitting like its some big deal, when will you understand that quitting is possible only if person wish to quit! Some people, and there are many of them, live for gambling and for excitement that gambling offers, winning or losing, and only after losing people talk about quitting, to not get in situation to wish to quit just play with amount you can afford to lose. Only the ones who lose more than they have are thinking about quitting for good.

Quitting should be gradual for gambling addicts but can be sudden for non-addicts.
I guess quitting suddenly may cause depression, restlessness and other similar symptoms.
A gambling addict may also try to replacing gambling with other fun activities during the course of quitting

It's a good way to quit gambling. You need just to concentrate on other things to forget about gambling addiction. And it's much easier to do when you have friends to spend time with them.

...
2.) Have a stone hard mindset. Picture yourself to the person you want to be. The old person who doesnt need that things in order to be happy. Always think about the future results you will become.

...

Only I feel that entire theory fails on this particular sentence? People who have stone hard mindset are not addicted to gambling, alcohol, drugs,  etc. It vise versa, if you have a weak mindset, under certain circumstances you try first and next you need repeat again and again some of the mentioned things.

actually the hardest challenge when going to change a bad activity is to fight the ego and lust for yourself because of addiction or being a sign addict someone can not hold back his lust.
Yes this is not as easy as said. The conflict between what your mind thinks and what your heart wants to have is full of ambiguity and you are always the victim of uncertainties. In gambling, it is important to have certain boundaries and limits and only then there could be some way to get out of the game full of lust. One should think about trading rather than getting into gambling.

About the bolded part,  the reality is that it often don't happen.  If a person is addicted to gambling, he will do everything in his power to continue playing.  "It is easier said than done".  Even if the person have strong will once he has been addicted he needs lots of support and understanding from his family.  He also needs to undergo rehabilitation.  Remember addiction  cannot be cured but it can be controlled or treated.  It is recurring if the person failed to keep it on tab.

IMO, in trading you are not in total control of our money as trades are controlled by whales while in gambling, it is you that have the key but it is also very important though that you should put limit in everything that we do. Everything in excess i think is dangerous, applicable also to gambling so be discipline when you gamble.

I agree, the need to quit should come from the gamblers self because if they will not accept it by heart then all the advise and scolding will be useless. I know a lot of gamblers would say it is very hard and they can't control themselves but I think if the gambler really want to quit then he will do everything to achieve it.

That is the problem there.

These addicted gamblers are no in-denial or not accepting the fact that they are addicted, they do not know that they are addicted. What they know is that they are having fun gambling and if someone or something stops them from doing it, they will be finding ways to quench their thirst. If someone wants to quit, people should be able to make that person realize that they are already addicted and they need professional assistance. Addiction is not something you can take lightly, this is serious.
