3 years have already passed since this thread started and no bitcoin services and products platforms for merchants were consolidated yet in a regional or global level.

I think it's already time for a worldwide company with the range and status of Amazon or AliExpress to become competitive, while accepting bitcoin as payment, and why not as main payment method, fully focused in crypto, also when offering promotions and benefits to users.

I ask myself how long it is still going to take until happening for real... It would be awesome to have access to a wide variety of goods with bitcoin in a huge platform supplying the whole world, paying affordable prices for products, delivery fees and taking advantage of special crypto promotions, plus earnings opportunities through staking the native token of the platform.

I believe these sort of companies are a bit timid and tepid due to the wait and see what the governmentments' laws and responses to crypto will be.  The big hesitancy is not wanting to be on the wrong side as the costs in terms of fines, bans, and/or business reputation could be astronomical and detrimental.

As long as your initial intention was to hodl I will admoniah you keep to that idea as the market price these few days has many some upwards shift though not yet a significant one based on what we know BTC recent value for, but  it's something to hold onto as we hope for closer bull days ahead.
If I were you I would jettison the idea of trying to seek for another usage and give it some time more.

He doesn't look like he is joking and when I check his other posts, I see that he is talking almost the same thing. Bear or Bulls, we can't erase the fact that cryptos are a currency so they can also be used for purchasing and maybe he got a little bored of doing the same thing which was holding. Don't worry he won't buy random useless stuffs but he said he will only buy worthy items, so we are sure that his cryptos won't go into waste.

This can act as a remembrance for his involvement in crypto. We should try the same thing too even for rare occasions only. I know we can always buy a thing after we convert our cryptos but the feeling is still different if we will spend them directly.

I have a similar situation where I live, not so much because of not being able to buy things, but more because of how the process of making the purchases is unimaginably complicated for no reason.

They don't have any kind of payment gateway that would make everything momentarily verifiable compared to doing everything "manually." Thankfully some online services do accept crypto in a more modern way, but that's nothing to do where I live.

lol I feel funny by your sentence (which I bolded), of course, bitcoin is the future, and what we have to believe is that those who still do not accept bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are people who are behind the times, while we are already a few hundred steps in front of them all. my country also still prohibits using cryptocurrency as a payment but I believe one day, that will change.

Perhaps your doing the most you could for yourself and that's good enough but, I'll say, not to have seen any merchant who accepts cryptos in your nation doesn't mean there isn't non. Your very much not the one person that knows about cryptocurrency in your nation. Maybe it's better to just keep your bitcoin and ethereum on hold, or if it's in binance, put it first and invest it in the staking features that binance has for 90 days staking.

    Then while we are facing the bear market, it is still good that we can experience no headache while we are holding it. At least you won't have anything to think about so you won't get stressed.
