Its getting stuck only because hashrate is dropping off FYI all, no other reason.
For example:
For example look at NVC. It had 10 minute blocks and a 24 hour 200% adjustment max window (max difficulty can go is 200% increase in 144 blocks)
FLT had 2 minute blocks and a 4 hour 200% max adjustment window (max difficulty can go is 200% increase in 144 blocks).
A lot of the hashrate may not even be legit - I remember someone remarking that one pool had a lot of hashrate, yet the network didn't report it (but it did earlier) - and they thought they were forked, but they weren't.
I have contacted all pool operators that I know of with the reason for this. If you see anyone mining in a pool with a HUGE hashrate, report them - they have no business being in a pool, and just may not have that hashrate at all.
I see many other coins that have a handful of huge hashrates on a couple of miners without this problem.... is it possible that it's being amplified by the POB stuff? You can't just say huge hashrates can't mine a coin.... when there aren't alternatives like a p2pool or something ? If I knew how, i'd set one up to see if that helps things.. but i would think something else is going on...

hashpower is going back up. i wouldn't be surprised if we hit 5gh today
We would be at that already if there wasn't a block problem seems to be putting people off. There is no block problem... look at the difficulty of the stuck blocks when they are finally found, and the next block immediately after. Note the difficulty drop (which means hashrate drop) But the difficulty is not that great to be having 3+ hour blocks, unless there's a display problem... when it gets above 30 (still not that high) is when it seems to be sticking. Hell, AUR had like 400+ diff and blocks were getting cracked faster... I do think there's some issue happening here. You know i've been supporting this for a while!

I'll stop posting after this for the day, but BTER was having issues with the chain too: Bter.com Exchange @btercom FLT deposit/withdrawal are disabled temporarily due to the slow network confirmation. We are investigating it. Then: Bter.com Exchange @btercom Fluttercoin(FLT) deposit/withdrawal are re-enabled. More confirmations are required for deposits to protect us from blockchain roll back.
This type of stuff will scare people away from the coin.

Its very clear what it is, blocks don't just magically get stuck LOL, they are just too difficult to find when the hashrate drops 50% + what the calculated difficulty was (which is exactly what these exploits can do). For example say hashrate is supposedly 2 gH, and a block is calculated to be 50 difficulty, then suddely the hash drops to 1 gH, what happens it is VERY difficulty to mine the block at 1gH This is one thing that was brought to my attention yesterday - which explains why pools on the correct chain were showing much more hashrate than was reported on the rest of the network https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=513382.0I am definitely looking into these things, but remember, dogecoin is a POW coin I believe - there are a lot more moving parts in this coin... If anyone knows people like Sunny King, Balthazar etc and is willing to ask them to take a look, it would be appreciated. Or any other Dev that can make an educated guess for that matter. We definitely will need to fork the coin in the next week - there are other things I want to put a stop to - not fix, but adjust for the better- so whatever this fix is it will be rolled in the next few days and the fork will happen no earlier than 7 days forward - unless we can get agreement with bter, and all pools to implement the update quickly. Any ideas on the warning/window needed to implement a mandatory fix is also appreciated - if it can be done with 3 days warning or so, thats fine too. Bter really is the key.

Please don't even think about implementing DigiShield in this coin. Its even worse than KGW for smaller coins. Will maybe work fine for Doge but it will kill Flutter for sure. TheKidCoin do you read your PMs or is your Inbox already spammed?

I also think that we need to fix something here and do it as soon as possible. But first we need to locate the problem. In my opinion it is difficulty retargeting scheme. Did anyone see a similar problem in another forks?

During the stuck block, i was sending coins to bter.com and also receiving coins from the pool..but it isn't even confirmed (they were grayed out) . Now i deleted everything except wallet.dat en conf and resyncing again...i think bter.com got the same problem if a block is stuck?
