If you're talking about getting returns via bounty, you do have a point that you'll be needing luck. Unless you study and check on the legitimacy of the project before doing any bounty tasks to see if it has potential, that's gonna be half luck, half of you believing in the project. We can say that it's on the same line as investors participating in ICO's.
