Too fast and short XRP reclaims its position from Ethereum. I am still hesitant to invest now, the market is still not good. More often red and no significant changes. How do you respond to this? Will you still survive to buy several altcoins? Thank you in advance.
There is no direct competition between ethereum and ripple coins. These are too different coins to compete with each other. For the time being, they are only competing for second place in terms of capitalization. I think that soon ethereum will break away from the ripple and leave this coin far behind. The upcoming improvements in ethereum at the end of February should play a positive role, the capitalization level of this coin should then substantially increase. At the same time, other competitors in the banking system appear in ripple, and if the ripple monopoly in this area is stopped, then ripple will lose its popularity and fall in price and level of capitalization.
"In a nutshell, the network works like a distributed timestamp server, stamping the first transaction to spend a coin. It takes advantage of the nature of information being easy to spread but hard to stifle." -- Satoshi

I do not think that XRP can compete with ETH, only by capitalization! ETH is not the first time losing second place in the rating but always returns it to itself. If the largest banking conglomerate JP Morgan Chase releases its cryptocurrency JPM Coin then I think this coin is a possible competitor XRP

Reality This project is very relevant as a rival etherium in the cryptocurrency market, but only by capitalization. If, if we consider the economic component of this issue, then the investment in ethereum will increase your condition to a greater extent than investment in ripples. a greater degree is invested in this project due to the fact that it is more stable in the poor state of the cryptocurrency market.

Trading in unfavorable market conditions is certainly very risky, several times the price goes up but it doesn't last long and I'm afraid this will happen in the long run. Only a few Altcoins are able to withstand waves, the top coins are still very weak, how long do we have to wait for the market to fully recover.

I have not for once thought that the position belongs to XRP and it is so evident with what is presently happening in the market.
Although, a some traders seem to be getting their bulk from it. Well that should be the whales, whose part should be coming from the team.
If you are a retail investors and you are investing in it, you have to be careful while doing that.

So far Xrp is doing good and been on my shoplist since even then and yet I'm pretty much sure that there are more coming good things to happen with it since  the adoption with xrp are getting much higher so most provably the price bend got higher possibilities and if you look at the cap it has so many times surpass the ETH and maybe in time comes ETH will lurking thr shadow of xrp since many traders got sick to it since ETH volatility is so suck and transaction speed got much slower with high network fee.

My take on this issue is that, I still bet for ETH to be second spot, I would expect that xrp would go down lower in the upcoming months because of the new coin backed by bank, but at this very moment, xrp and ETH is still competing for the second spot, but it would not be anymore in the upcoming day, ETH will still be the winner in this game.

At least these two coins compete only in their capitalization. Of course, taking second or third place, it visually and psychologically affects cryptocurrency users very strongly.

I think this coin is really very strong. Once this coin overtook the ethereum by capitalization. I think this suggests that the project is quite strong.

I like it when I hear of competitions between good and somewhat stable projects in the cryptocurrency. It wont be bad if one is overtaken by another, it's simply a healthy competition.

Finally it is great to see XRP making waves in the Cryptocurrency Space. Nobody expected it even the fact that XRP is centralized still makes me think about it future. But on the other hand, the team have handle the project wisely with so many partnership and progress in the space. Well as for Ethereum, we will all know the true Ethereum after the upcoming hardfork.

The true Ethereum will keep changing constantly in the future. That's what these protocols are about. They are agile and can be adapted to the needs of its users.

The competition between Ripple and Ethereum has been there for quite sometime now but i believe Ethereum is taking the lead for good with all the updates of their Network and the new hardfork which is scheduled to take place at the end of this month.

Hopefully that will be the case because there are more ETH supporters than XRP so we will see more people happy with it.
ETH is having a new update soon, it will certainly affect it's price and we could possibly cross to the price of our own expectation, right now
it's probable that ETH will only go up and it's very beneficial to the entire market.

This time its gonna be hard to compete with the second place ETH has 2B advantage on market cap and still in green if ETH continue to grow it may hold the spot for a long time.

I personally never put them in one row.
Projects have completely different goals and objectives. Does it make sense to discuss it at all?

There were very large purchases, this can significantly affect the course. On February 22, a huge amount of ETH was purchased, there were huge walls on several exchanges

Ethereum is strong to take the lead, at times xrp pumps taking the position of ethereum. Though xrp is almost centralized, the use case keeps on increasing upon the centralized banking services. On the other side the ethereum platform usage keeps growing rapidly makes it stay much stronger in the market. Xrp can be preferred for short term trading in my opinion.
