One thing I am Glad for in 2018

2018 has been one of the worst years if not the worst in the crypto industry. We had so many ups and downs but we are still around and looking forward to making it happen once again as it has always been. But amidst fhe turbulence that occurred there's still one thing I'm happy for, and that's some "psychopaths" failed their mission.

We all thought we had reach a bottom around 6K until some few people decided to ruin everything for all of us. Gladly, their mission failed (well, for now) and I'm really happy for that. I hope the same happens to anyone who tries to ruin Bitcoin's price furthermore.

Now Bitmain has layed off workers, boycotted plans to launch a subsidiary at a new country and having leadership troubles and oh, people aren't purchasing their mining rigs as before. Their best solution was to help find a way to pump Bitcoin but they ruined it.

If you have a product, start something and don't try to kill Bitcoin because ultimately you'll end up with undervalued coins.

If this "psychologist" has thousands of Bitcoins or lots of mining equipment, you have to be sad.
It is unfortunate to see these people fighting rather than unite around the goal of cryptocurrency.

having ups and downs, or even generally downtrend is not considered a "bad year for bitcoin" because not everything is about the price and obviously as other user mentioned it was a great opportunity to buy cheap bitcoins.
not to mention that not all of the price drop was manipulation. only a part of it near the end was pure manipulation, the rest was a simple bubble burst and correction.

bitcoin is still around because it provides useful utilities and because of that each time its price is manipulated, it comes back up again.

It's true that there's a lot of shtcoins right now in this industry but for as what I've known the starting price of Bitcoin is around $2-$5 (please correct me if i'm wrong) and look at the current price of it... are we on the bottom? the one you've experienced is just a small ups and downs but still in the overall stats of the bitcoins price we're still at the bullish.

Absolutely, This crypto space we are involved in is unregulated
and decentralised, there are no rules and the markets dont have
to do one thing or the other. We have to make the best of the

I am glad that the market downward that started in 2018 seems to be  indirectly regulating the Cryptocurrency space.
Believe me, any ico coming this year must be one that has various usecases unlike before 2018 when everyone was launching ico Bec the boom being witnessed then.

I don't think that those "pychopaths" you are referring, will succeed either. Bitcoin has been resilient so such attacks and I'm sure that almost everyone will agree that bitcoin will not die and not recover.

Perhaps you're referring to the Bitcoin Cash drama. Yes it dramatically affect the price negatively, but I'm sure miners will still go back to bitcoin no matter because this is where the money is. This setback is just temporary and a reversal will eventually happen, might take months or even years but it will happen.

Indeed this is a long process of the bitcoin cycle that we are experiencing and we must be lucky that we have the knowledge that bitcoin is really a technology that must be look forward into the future for humans daily transaction and other day to day usage of technology. However we must not totally depend on technology and forget that we are humans too, remember that technology will remain but we will leave this technology to the next generation. It is good that whatever happens we still see our human side of the technology whether we have experienced negative and positive things on the technology that we embraced.

nope their mssion was to push their own coin forward and they failed drastically. Look at the price of BCHABC and BCHSV. They're very down even before the fork and that's why I say I'm happy.

No, market price down trend makes it worst. If you are investing bitcoin then you can feel it. This is why I said that it was the worst. As OP said that many were expecting the bottomline was 6k Usd since bitcoin is established already. However, it went dow. and this is where shit happens.Now, many investors are holding because if they will.not the. they will going to lose their investments.

People do not learn from their and others mistakes, because we saw the same thing happening with the Bitcoin XT fork and the attempt at a hostile takeover from Mike Hearn and Gavin. Now you hardly hear anything from Gavin anymore and Butthurt Mike is working for the competition. 

The only one left is Roger Ver, but Mr. Money bags invested his money wisely by piggybacking off Bitcoin's success.  A fool will part quickly with his money, so guess who is next.

in many senses last year was different but in the end when you look at the trend itself you can see it was very similar for some reason which i can not yet explain.
for example there was no reason for bitcoin to drop this low but it did, similar to last time. there was also no reason for the downtrend to last this long but it did, again similar to last time. and many more.
and don't get me started on altcoins. i saw the exact same pattern of pump and dumping and newbie trapping all over last year.

I kind of agree with you though but I wouldn't call them psychopaths but as a businessman. Although they are trying to make the price down, I know that they are doing this to make some profit in the future and they are winning I think.

Bitcoin still young and of course when the young already get it's "celebrity" status, every people try to push it down to the fall.

Whatever 2018, I still think we needed it. There is nothing wrong with the market falling. This is a perfectly normal situation. It is also good that it helps to get rid of unnecessary coins and fake crypto enthusiasts, because we have to support and believe in crypto in any case.

The evidence of any good project is in it workability and for any one trying to run bitcoin is just waisting his/her time because there can never be an end to bitcoin not now and not in any time soon, bitcoin have survived so many attacks from various quarter but we thank God the market will recover no matter the amount of pump and dump that the big wings thinks they can do.
